Had to run the DVR back to see that again. Romney said it took 14 days for Obama to call it an act of terror, he got called out because the moderator pointed out it took one day, not 14.

Obama mentioned he would support a AWB, and expanded on that to comment on how cheap handguns are the main source of gun violence in Chicago. Moderator chooses to bring up statistical outliers to talk about EBRs when asking Mitt about the PAWB.

Mitt perfectly okay with AWBs at the state level, but he pinky-promises he won't do one as POTUS. If he were a Democrat the National Republican Army would be screeching it's head off tomorrow.

Both of them, in a round about fashion, were trying to make the argument that violent crime is a bit more nuanced than "guns".
