Well, my German has a quite Swabian influence, and I don't really have a very deep voice.

When speaking English, I'm possessed by a very high-brow British English. It just sounds so...posh...

Well I am originally from small-town Quebec, a small english community primarily of composed of scottish descendants, kicked out of scotland in 1820, when changing laws made slaves ,er, tenants, more expensive to keep than sheep. So there's this typical Canadian accent, with some corrupt scottish-type accent that sounds a little like eastern Canada. Thankfully, I'm free from most of the local pronunciations, like saying "fur" instead of "four".

Although.... on two separate occasion I was asked if I was from New York, because of my accent. :p

Do you do this on purpose? I know that I have a bad habit of slowly changing my accent to match whomever I'm around. Give me a few weeks in Texas and I'd probably have a drawl.

It's not on purpose. I can be on the phone with someone from up north for just a few minutes and come off with a Yankee accent. I have to conciously stop. Of course right now I sound horrible because my nose is all stuffed up.

Exceot for amusica (Tone deaf) I'm down there with Barry White & James Earl Jones. I have a good Commercial VA voice, but I can't hold a tune.
