If ever there was a ripe target for satire, the way American media and political hacks bow and grovel for Greater Israel is it. The demented three-ring circus of the Hagel nomination hearings have been even more of a grotesque joke waiting for a punchline.
One problem: While mainstream shows like Saturday Night Live might be willing to bust the balls of the NRA and its control of gun policy, they have made sure to keep a safe distance from the touchy subject of how AIPAC and other IDF camp followers have not only turned Capitol Hill into Israeli-occupied territory (as Sen. Fulbright said over 40 years ago), but have built permanent settlements for creepy squatters on this illegally occupied turf.
That is, until now (from Mondoweiss):
SNL on Hagel: ‘It is vital to Israel’s security for you to go on national television and perform oral sex on a donkey… Would you do THAT for Israel?’
Of course this skit wasn't aired, but it is available on Hulu. A few years ago this kind of thing would not be taped, let alone allowed to be shown on the web or anywhere else, outside of Counterpunch. The late great Alexander Cockburn would have had a good laugh at this one.
I hope AIPAC fanwhores get heckled with "Bring me the donkey!" every time they appear in public.

The skit took a little while to get going but it started getting pretty funny even before they got to the donkey part.
I was almost proud that it was the Senator from Arizona, John McCain who first posed the donkey question.
By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
