I also do NOT like Corran. I always thought that I was a minority of one on that point. What I can't figure out is why they didn't just use Kyle Katarn and make him fly an X-Wing. In any case, I REALLY did not like I, Jedi, but all my friends did, so I really don't know about that book. The X-Wing books are pretty good, so long as they keep the character count down. Sometimes, at the end of the book, you can't even remember what SPECIES some character is. One character in Bacta War had exactly two lines of dialogue in the entire book. That was why Starfighters of Adumar was so much better than most of the others--it eliminated all but four of the pilots (admittedly in a cheesy way), so you could bond more with them and get to know them better. Only then did it add other characters, like Iella Wessiri, to the mix.Darth Gojira wrote:IMHO, Corran does NOT belong here. He annoyed the HELL out of me in "I, Jedi"IG-88E wrote:Where's Corran? But again, that's just my HO.
No, the first four books had too many characters as it was. Their problem was that they were all too similar and difficult to tell apart. That has been getting better, since then.Rogue 11 wrote:Wes would have gotten my vote had he been up there without him Thrawn gets it.
Anyone else think that Wes should have been included in the 4 first X-wing books? And that it would greatly improve said books?
Gotta love Janson. Here's another one.Mr Bean wrote:Another classic Wes Line

Wes: "Mystery? I'll give you a mystery. I'll spend tommorrow with my feet and forhead painted red and never tell why. Is that mysterious enough?

Actually, I just read an interview with that Stover (I think that's his name), who's writing traitor. I liked some of his earlier work, and his style is reminiscent of my own. I'm hoping he'll turn Jacen around in that book, and from the interview, I think I have a right to be optimistic about that. Those are all character choices that are controversial, but I posted them because I like them or don't like them, and I thought we could have a good discussion about it. What do you like about Jacen? He just kind of strikes me as a wuss, from what I've read of him. He doesn't seem decisive like his brother or sister, and he doesn't have their fire. I don't see it.anarchistbunny wrote:Jacen Solo.Screw you.Master of Ossus wrote:I like Grand Admiral Thrawn, but one of my favorite EU characters was actually Ghent. Ysanne Isard? Isn't she that "New Leader of the Empire"? Sorry for my rant, I voted for someone else(Crap! I don't remember!!).IG-88E wrote:Quote: IMHO, Corran does NOT belong here. Really? Well he's still an EU character, so quit whining and vote for someone else.
BTW, where's Ysanne Isard? She's one of my favorite Imperial characters.
