I think you have to be roughly in-theatre to get that.

You haven't a goddamned clue how there's a difference between flying a remote controlled aircraft in the real world versus a fucking collection of pixels in a damned game with dumbed physics almost as retarded as you are.

Is it just me, or did someone leave the fucking door open again so a bunch of dumb-asses wandered in here recently?
I'm fairly certain he was joking.
Indeed, and had Broomstick read his posts before she posted she would have realized that.

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? Because as I already pointed out, the normal Bronze Star is commonly awarded for what are effectively non combat roles and duties. It is kind of stupid to rate someones excellent PSYOPS paperwork and leaftlet creation on par with a shooting job. The Bronze Star is a pretty low ranking award, the US just doesn't have that many for this sort of thing.

As for the pilot skill thing Broomstick is raving about, USAF piloted Predators in fact crash way more then the US Army ones which are in fact effectively flown like a video game. Point, click, drone does what you want. The difference is so drastic that the US Congress is finally just forcing the USAF to adapt auto land to reduce the constant attrition on its Predator and Reaper fleet. The whole USAF mentality about it has been ass stupid, but they didn't want to except the dire cuts to golf course construction that would come along with having fewer pilot officers earning flight pay.

Wasn't at all obvious to me that he was, and apparently not to Simon Jester, either. Still not entirely convinced he is.

That's the problem with text, if you're being sarcastic it doesn't always come across that way.

No, because we've had enough idiots use smileys with serious statements. "Crux of the joke" in retrospect, but I'll be the first to admit that I have a poor sarcasm detector for plain text. Probably why I usually end sarcastic posts with [/sarcasm] or a clear statement to that effect because I'm not the only one out here who frequently doesn't get plain text sarcasm.
