It makes no sense. The Death Star has a firepower greater than half the Starfleet, as in over 50% but much LESS than 100%, let alone a million fuckin' percent. Any retard can understand that.
As far as his statement to the effect that "maybe Dodonna meant slightly more than half the fleet could do it, it'd just take them a lot longer than the DS" flies in the face of physics. If you're going to shatter a world, you can't deliver the energy in minutes or hours. Either do it almost instantly, or your weapons aren't powerful enough to break it apart violently. Very simple.
