I know what this was built for, but the name eludes me at the moment. Send proof of answer via PM in order to not spoil it for those who aren't here 24/7. I'm looking at you, Sea Skimmer.

Looks like a re-entry vehicle of some (Russian) kind. No landing gear, minimal control surfaces, no apparent intake for the engine(making it a rocket as opposed to a jet) and the general shape. I haven't the least clue what it would be called.

Interesting. Not familiar with that one. Looks kinda like a Buran testbed, ala Avro Vulcan mini-prototypes.

Someone should try and find the news articles from when the pictures of it being recovered were leaked, my god - the paranoia was amazing.
