I love wannabes

Post by weemadando »

Just had two people (I use the term hesitantly) here in the cafe (which is fucked up due to what appears to be a malicious hack)...

Anyhow, these two were dressed like your average "I can't decide what social minority I want to be so I'll dress like them all" punk-skater-gothic-industrial-anarchist-hippie-rebellious-commie-greenie-nut-case.

So these two people print out some stuff. What is it? I don't know - but by the looks of it, I think it was "Anarchism for dummies" FAQ. The first page had at the top of it: "So, what is an anarchist?"

Did I mention I love wannabes?

I do hope you smacked them. Or better yet, gave them birth control.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

Tell them to go visit a place called Mogadishu in order to find out what anarchy is like. Preferably while wearing T-shirts with anti-Islamic slogans and waving American flags.

But Mogadishu is not true anarchy! It still has a social hierarchy in place which results in the exploitation of the yadda yadda yadda bullshit blah blah blah.

That's how they would likely respond to the claim that Somalia is anarchistic.

I want to find the t-shirt of the classic Che Guevara lithograph but with the Nike "swoosh" rather than the Communist star on his beret.

It was a cartoon in time many a year ago and I still love it.

Thats why I love cruising around Hobart in a car with a real gangsta (specially imported from LA) with both of us hanging out the windows talking shit to the wannabes. I don't even try to be gangsta, hell I'm as straight laced as they come, but I just happen to be friends with a genuine LA nigga who despises these people as much as I do. But even WITH my non-effort at gangsta-dom then I have achieved a greater level of gangsta-ness than they ever shall.

dunno, ask the people that tries acting like one when they live in a half million dollar house. As you are from the suburbs I'm sure you won't have a problem finding those people.

I don't know, I live in Hobart, which is in Tasmania, which is in Australia. Which is about as far from gangsta as you can get. But we still get all the white-boy wannabes.

Perhaps you all recall what happened the last time we dealt with this topic (white wannabe gangster types): Pink Eye.

Perhaps we should steer clear of it.

Exactly. They put on a act trying to act as if they were from the ghettos even though they live in expensive houses in the best neighborhoods. It is all fake.

What I hate is the off-center hat thing. Wearing your baseball cap so the bill is 45 degrees to the side or something? Someone was probably just goofing around one day and wore it like that. Now every other teenage boy looks like a retard. Everytime I see that (which is too often) I have to roll my eyes and fight the urge to smack the thing off the guy's head. Fashion trends are one thing, looking like you can't dress yourself properly is another.

This micro-rant has been brought to you by *The Angry Guy*. If you have any complaints about this rant, fuck off.

Bwa-ha-ha. Capitalism's greatest weapon is its ability to infest and corrupt any anti-capitalist underground and co-opt its symbols--witness all the clueless idiots buying Che Guevara tee-shirts from Hot Topic. It ownz j00. Phear.

Thats pretty common here too. Kids living in a 500,000 dollar home but are punk ass bitches. However, quite a few go beyond the wanna be stage and actually belong to local gangs. A shitty home life is a common factor for these kids, not poverty.

I hate those stupid anarchists because they dont realise that once you bring down government theres nothing to protect you from the people that would rape and kill you, theres nothing to prevent "biker gangs" and mobs from taking over (which, btw, wouldnt be so bad if it was the Mafia). These people dont realise that if the government packs up and goes home, then warlords and city-state kingships and dictatorships will crop up whenever someone has a bigger gun then the others and is willing to use it.

fucking idiots would have us revert to the barbaric ages of prehistory. Even ancient greece, with its city-state governments and such was better off then a totally anarchist country with no way of safeguarding anyones anything.

next time you see one of those fuckers, go up to him and say "You want anarchy huh?" and if he says yes and explains why, respond "I support anarchy too, because in an anarchist nation i can do this without repurcussion from the evil government" then kick him in the balls.

There was a "gang" in my old neighborhood called the "Oak Valley Posse". If you ever want to see a bunch of poseur idiots, they're the guys to go to. They're the only tough-guys I ever heard of who proved their manhood by intimidating 6th graders riding their bikes past the elementary school, and their one attempt at "tagging" a building got painted over after 3 days and was never redone. They were a bunch of white boy bitches who would have gotten eaten alive in the middle-class black neighborhood down the street (every time they tried to start shit with them, they always insisted the big showdown would happen in our neighborhood, not theirs), let alone the real ghetto up in Camden or Philadelphia.

Camden, Ive heard of that place. One of my former co-workers was from there. Great guy, it was clear from his stories that place is a real GHETTO!
