He'd always been one of the more memorable characters here, but it had been noticeable in recent years that he wasn't a well man, mentally or physically. If it wasn't the obscure 60's references, it was random vs RAR's

RIP Bear, may you finally find a decent pharmacist.

My condolences to his family and friends. 43 is just too young. :(

I second that, even though I never talked to him directly, I salute him.

For all his occasionally incoherent rambling and thorough eccentricity, Bear was a guy you could count on to bring a smile to your face as well as the occasional 'wtf'...

Like apparently many others here, I didn't interact that much with him but I'll always remember him and miss his presence here on the board. A book has truly closed here.

RIP Bear. Hope you're having a good one, wherever you are.
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Found out about this on Facebook. Didn't know him well at all, but I'll miss seeing his posts all the same.

This is so sad. Although I didn't know YB that well, I can tell by the outpouring of posts here that he was admired and cherished. RIP

Side Note: Now I want to go back and find YB's posts in an attempt to understand who he was here.

There isn't really anything I can say that hasn't been said already, especially since I never really interacted with him. But death still sucks, so for whatever it's worth I offer my condolences to friends and family.

I hope it is ok with everyone that I share these kind words about Colin at his memorial service this afternoon.

He had some very good friends beyond the walls of this little valley he called home.

Thank you.

Yeah, it would.
