From the top!
Original Final Fantasy was very good, if hella hard. To this day, I haven't beaten Chaos.
Never played II.
FFIII/J was so funny for me. I think I sent Dalton the ROM for that.
FFII/4 was fine... Until everyone who had made the ultimate sacrifice for us came back to life! WHAT THE FUCK!?
FF5 was funny. His name is Butz...
6 held me by the balls from the get-go. The plot that twists more than a snake on an acid trip kept me enthralled for a month while I played it through. I've since repeatedly played it, doing everything, including the infamous inventory bug.
Just recently finished played 7. Didn't like the Chibi style all the characters were in, but it was fun. Fear my Knights Of The Round!
8 pissed me off to no end. Sorry, guys. I couldn't stand the DRAW system, the lack of a fantastical element, and the sheer amounts of tedium(Materia is a bitch to level up, but that's nothing to trying to get your GF's powerful enough for the next boss).
9 restored my faith in the series. Seriously. We get silly characters with silly animation styles. And I love Steiner! He even got the girl!
10 is my current addiction. I can't help it: I love the style, the difficulty level, and the unfolding plot. That, and the sidequests are refined crack.
Chrono Trigger is definately the best RPG of all time. I'm waiting for Chrono Break eagerly.
Does Chrono Cross count? It was fun, though very confusing(Okay, so is an eco-weenie plot? Because I just slaughtered al the eco-weenies. Every last one of them).
I have successfully stayed away from the gameboy FF's, though my general understanding is they were weaker than the 'true' series.

My very first RPG I played was Dragon Warrior that actually came with my subscription to Nintendo Power magazine, I think. I got for free somehow anyway. After that, I pretty much didn't bother too much with RPGs. Not certain why, because I liked Dragon Warrior.
As a consequence, I have played few Final Fantasy games. I've finished even fewer. It seems the gods of video gaming are conspiring against me.
I've played and finished FF9, but I had already had the ending spoiled to me when I watched him beat it at a friend's house. I've since learned not to watch people play video games that are story driven.
FF9 is the only one I've finished to this point. FF10 I got almost to the end, but my brother and I got into a fight and he erased my save file.
My roomate was letting me play FF7 on his Playstation, but he got it taken away for his sub-par grades last semester. I had only finished the first disc.
I haven't bothered with 8 because of the uncomplimentary comments I hear about both the battle mechanics and the story.
However, I have recently *cough* acquired FF4, 6 and Chrono Trigger, which I will make an attempt at whenever I get the time.
I also recently bought Kingdom Hearts, although when and how I will get to play that is uncertain, seeing as how my brother and I never really resolved our arguement.
The only RPG that I have played through without being spoiled in any way is Lunar 2, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I hear the original is even better.

Well FF2...was evil...and the start of the Saga Level building(though slightly broken.....sigh, but it started the story mode)
The Gameboy FF's were two different series entirely
FFA was Secret of Mana(always call it SD series...because I can never remember the Japanese name but D.U does.)
FFL is the Saga series.
Both are true divergences from the regular series that they were only using name more then anything else...but worth a shot.

Man,
I have only beaten 7,8,6,4(almost),and CT
but in my opinion Final fantasy 7 was the easiest, 8 was gay i didnt like how the monsters leveled up with you so it was all around stupid and you couldnt go to one area to level up, it was the easiest game to level up with, i like games with challenge, 4 was the hardest because of all of the enemies who could use Doom and Break, and their accuracy with those spells. 6 was the best because of the storyline, it was the most twisted and because the world was ripped apart. I wish that would happen to our world(Kinda) i hate our 7 continents. And i think that USA needs to learn what it feels like to have to hold onto someone else but ourselves.

My favorite FFs would have to be FFVII (I thought 8 was ok, 9 in my opinion is absolute crap, 10 I haven't played but it looks pretty good.)
And my favorite of all, FFT. I LOVE the game so much due to stuff like storyline, the wonderful amount of STRATEGY and TACTICS involved that the other FFs as far as I know...lack. All the characters were very individual, with different signs, gender, etc. I dunno, I just loved everything about that game. Including the bad translation on occasions.

I loved this baby. Sure, the normal character graphics weren't too hot, but the backgrounds (especially the Forgotten City itself, where Aeris meets her maker, was absolutely breathtaking). Grr, that plot pissed me off. It was saddening to see that one of my favorite RPGs of all time had been hijacked by commie-nazis. Okay, now Sketch it. You will most likely bug the game, getting everyone into wierd sprites. Get the hell out of the battle, and check your inventory.

Done it. Quite easy once you find the right place and get yourself used to missing a beat. The only one I couldn't do was get Tidus' weapon unlocked.. But I just crafted him the ultimate damage-dealer instead.(Break Damage Limit + Strength +20% + Evade And Counter + First Strike)Durran Korr wrote:Will be released for the PS1 along with FFI in a month under the title Final Fantasy Origins.Never played II.

or
say fuck it all and play SW: Galaxies.)

As for Chrono Cross, 44 FUCKING CHARACTERS?! God fuckin' damn!
Anyway, I have the game but never played much farther past the first run through the mansion. I hope Chrono Break is a lot better.
Back to FF, I need to get me a PS2! I've played some FFX and it's pretty intriguing.

The biggest drawback to Final Fantasy X is that it leads you by the hand through everything in a fashion that's akin to using Windows XP. Otherwise, it's a beautiful game to look at.

That and getting A GODDAMN sequel(yippee fucking do...WTF Square FFXI loss that much?!)
And sadly it did...FFXI was expected to be a much larger sucess...and recently they hit their 200K goal.
Still I liked FFX(though I swear the sequel is because too many whiny biznatchs over the ending)
