No one selected by B&B can EVER replace or even come close to Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Scotty.

If they even TRIED it would be an affront to Star Trekdom.

If they do this I will find a way to find them. Catch them. Hurt them. Force them to watch the TOS they hate soo much. Force them to watch all the worst soap operas out there, then make them apologize to all the fans they have angered. I don't know what I would do next... but they would not like it.

Remakes shold never be made, and (for fear of the nuclear poke) nor should special editions of TOS.

Um, the models were not "held up by strings". For one thing, the two main Enterprise models were ~3 and 4 feet long, and mounted on metal armatures from the bottom. I'd assume that most of the other models were filmed in the same manner.

No,but he would jump out of his grave and kill the producers, thus becoming the hero of the current ST community.

A brain-eating zombie would never go after B&B, for obvious reasons.

Even if they did, B&B would defeat them with the power of technobabble.

Of course, if they attackedagainthen B&B would be defeated, because they pressed the reset button after they beat the Zombie King, so the technobabble they used to beat the Zombie King would eb COMPLETLEY FORGOTTEN, and never used again.

So we need two Zombie Kings.... :P

I see no official article here. Why is everyone acting like this is official?

Actually, this could work if the series was animated with today's CG tech. But recast Kirk? No fucking way.
Why not do it with the characters from the original TOS pilot? There's got to be people out there who sufficiently resemble Geoffrey Hunter, Majel Barrett, etc. to pull it off. The only character from original TOSP we're familiar with is Spock, and they could always have a lookalike show up in the series finale with no lines, we just see him sitting at the Science station hovering over the blue thing. CGI ships, better SFX, the original set and prop designs. None of this shit where we have a dead-fish bitch in a bad wig walking around with an Indiglo alarm clock and a bastardized ST:5 phaser pistol.

Spanky beat me to it, but:
Every fanboy knows they didn't hang the ships from strings in TOS... they used a pole/transparent plate, very similar to the techniques used in Star Wars actually.

If you're seeing strings, maybe you are too stuck in the 60's... ; )

Btw, do you have a random avatar or something?
