New Pokemon
I know, I know. I'm pathetic. But those games are just so damn addictive. Does anyone have an inside scoop on ruby and/or sapphire?

Well, since SAMAS hasn't said his bit.......
There's 386 Pokémon total in Ru/Sa, however most of those don't seem to be accessable. The data for them is in the cart, however you can't actually catch them in the wild. Of course, the only ones which aren't accessable are those from G/R/B/Y or G/S/C.
For much more detailed info, I'd say your best bet would to actually get on a Pokémon MB of some sort. If you want one with a relativly mature crowd (ie. Primarily 14+, many in University or higher), I'd suggest

Of course, that might be a biased opinion, seeing as I own the place, but....er......^^;

Well, growing into a teenager naturally purges your system, but seeing as your already a teenager or older, it cant happen.Admiral Valdemar wrote:The ultimate bioweapon.darthdavid wrote:I cant stop those little buggers get in yer head and gnaw on things till you buy more shit.

On the contrary, when Red and Blue made their debut around '98 I was hooked on them at highschool, the games were actually pretty decent, but then it went into mayhem and simple overdoing it.Captain tycho wrote:Well, growing into a teenager naturally purges your system, but seeing as your already a teenager or older, it cant happen.Admiral Valdemar wrote:The ultimate bioweapon.darthdavid wrote:I cant stop those little buggers get in yer head and gnaw on things till you buy more shit.

Yeah, the games themselves actually aren't that bad, it's just the crass marketing ploys built around them. I've got Yellow, Silver, Gold, Crystal, and both Stadiums (though my friend and I have done a semi-permanent trade of Stadium 1 for Gauntlet Legends). The actual game system is well thought out, and they are fun to play (even if sometimes annoying when the AI seems to be able to predict your moves too well in Stadium).

Ah, yes, Pokemon, those delightful little critters, so cute and yet so dangerous. Alas, I'm afraid they must

Scientist in Pokoworld must be retards. It seems that they missed something like 2/3's of their planets major species until a sudden splurge of discoveries in the space of a few years.

Well, half the new species only come out at night, and a lot of them are only on the other continent. So I guess if the scientists were all afraid of the dark, it wouldn't be too horribly impossible .Sea Skimmer wrote:Scientist in Pokoworld must be retards. Sorry, but this has to be done.

I'm suddenly scared by the thought of a live action Pokemon movie, stupider things have happened. If something like that ever gets made it's going to be 26,999 nuclear warheads, now another is missing. Followed up by an unfortunate vaporization of the film....

That image is so hilarious. And the horror that is the Pokémon franchise is the inevitable result of transforming a game into a manga, and then an anime.
