Re: World of Tanks Mark III
I hate when a flank collapses. Though that's probably because I play slow tanks that can't relocate quickly enough.

Re: World of Tanks Mark III
If you're in something zippy enough - the SU-100, say - it can actually be an asset; all those tanks made careless by success presenting their side armor as targets... fun times.

Yeah, by the time they started capping, we had an Object 704 and a T95 2/3 of the way to the enemy base. Our batchat arty tried to reset but missed twice and then a wild tomato in a ferdinand appeared and shot him.

True. I love ambushing flankers in the ELC. And the ST-1/T-150 are fast enough to do it in a pinch. KV-1/3/4 aren't though.

Re: World of Tanks Mark III
If there's one thing about pubbies that bothers me more than any other, it's their absolute refusal to go back and defend the base. Instead, they always, always keep pushing to the enemy base even when it's impossible for them to win the cap race.

Re: World of Tanks Mark III
Unless I'm in a glacier tank and closer to the enemy cap, I always go back to reset mine if needed. This can lead to hilarity as an ELC takes out the enemy team capping our base with hit-and-run sniping.

ELCs playing fighter plane are always fun. I don't understand why anybody ever uses them as scouts; they're really more like giant invisible guns with a huge engine and some tiny little treads attached.

An...interesting...combination of medals that. Got the Steel Wall by bouncing shells from T71's, a Lorr 40t, and a top tier Brit Medium. Said Med is also what got me the Kamikaze medal. Did nearly 2k damage, and took 18 hits that added up to nearly 5k in potential damage. This thing can really do well on occasion.

Indeed it can; do you have the top gun for it yet? That makes it truly monstrous; just had a nail-biter in mine, 5k damage done, 5k potential received.

Nope, still the BL-9. Looking forward to that top-gun though, that's for sure.

I dunno why, but the Tiger II and the Panzer IV S both seem to really, really like me for some reason.

It's because it doesn't have the radio for scouting or that great of a view range and unlike other scouts, that 90mm can hurt everything the ELC faces.Esquire wrote:ELCs playing fighter plane are always fun. Re: World of Tanks Mark III
Traded my Marder for a Hetzer, finally. Holy shit, I love the 105 mm gun on this thing. Even the AP rounds will pretty much one-shot everything below a tier 4 heavy.
Also, I have decided that I hate the Lorraine 39L SPG. Seriously, a 22 sec reload time, with shit splash? Considering how accurate SPGs are in general (not) I'm lucky to do any damage at all before the match ends, one way or another. I'm thinking of abandoning French SPGs and trying out their TD line.

Re: World of Tanks Mark III
The Hetzer is a bit slow, but very well armored (in tier 4 matches anyway) and exceedingly well armed. I've seen people do some insane things in it.
If you try the French TD line, prepare to enjoy each and every tank except for the ARL V39. That thing is godawful.

French TD's (short the V39) are good then? Might have to try them if I ever get tired of the (very long) ST-1 grind.

tiers 4 and 6 suck but everything else is decent and the higher tiers are OP

PS: Sign up an EU account for WoT and then you can post your replays to www.wotreplays.com (for some reason this requires an EU login). Replay bragging is best bragging.
Re: World of Tanks Mark III
Maybe I'm an idiot, but cant figure out how to actually record so i can download there (was told I should post a video of my D.W 2 where I got 6 awards.)
Re: World of Tanks Mark III
Go into your settings and tick the box that says "Enable battle recording", there's a folder in your WoT folder called Replays, it drops a file in there for every battle.

Heheheh. E-50M is the pub-stomper extraordinaire this patch. 8,176 damage, 1,629 spotting damage, 4,540 potential damage received. Russian Bias indeed.
