pokemon must die, i did like the show in 98'. 99 it was tolerable. In 2000, it was poisoned by brock's departure and a dead ringer of wesley crusher. In 2001 Brock returns and the show rises but it became shit again and i avoid it like a plague.

Actually those pokemon games were pretty good. I'm not that into rpg but from my experience I would say that pokemon was the best--especially the part that you could duel with other people's.

Although I'm not a big fan of the show anymore, and considered the movies a bit dumb, the games are quite good (and addictive), and I would get Ruby and Sapphire if I had the time to play them, and I wasn't surrounded by a bunch of fanboys who would ridicule me for buying them.

I used to quite like the show when if first began, and the game was awesome, then when it appeared on every five year olds shirts/pants/backpacks/etc, I just gave up.

I was playing Magic and LOTFR when Pokemon first came out. There was so much hype, and I had the opportunity to buy several boxes of the first edition at wholesale price... I'm still kicking myself over how much money I *could* have made if I had simply bought a few.

Actually, R/B is pretty cool. However, Y is overly cutesy, G/S is cheesy and the anime is an abomnation. Kinda-sorta like Star Trek, really.....
