Do I deserve a custom title?

Post by ArmorPierce »

Well? I think that I do as I have over a 2000 post non-spam post count which is one of the qualifications for a title and am probably one of the least trollish/assholey person on this board. I am asking cause it would seem that their are at least a few people around who thinks that I don't deserve a title.

If you don't think I deserve a title, please post your reason why.

I say yay for your credible achievement in post count. And I don't see a reason why not.

How about just "The Nice Guy."

You've always come off to me as one of the nicest posters here.

:) , yeah maybe. Against the philosophies of many people here, when I reply to people I try to do it in a respectful manner. Even if they start acting like shit with me I'll try to keep my respectful demeanor if it is a one time thing. But it would seem since I'm 'the nice guy' I ain't really known or made a big fuss over with so opportunities gets passed over me.

@Darth Garden Gnome, hehe, actually I was considering something like that :D

Which is about all that can be said for him. I said no for the simple reason that he's offered no other reason than he's posted a lot.

So far you seem to be a nice guy, but I'd say wait until you've reached the big 3 and then ask again.

and exactly what have others like cyril done differently? One criteria that makes you eligible for a custom title is a non-spamming 2000+ post count.

But post count alone doesn't guarentee a custom title. It's just one requirement for it. Read the goddamned Board FAQ that I posted in the other thread you asked this in or for that matter that you should have read.

I'd ask why you haven't got a custom title but I don't know whether it's a good idea or not.

Seriously, I don't see why not. It would help if you gave some ideas of what you'd like to have for a title.

There posts where more memorable. Despite your high count, you do basically fade into the background for me and I take little to no note of your posts.

As I said in the other thread, I've read it before. Here is what it says
This category includes moderators, usergroup leaders, notable personalities and persons with exceptionally high non-spam postcounts (>2000 posts).

And that is a result of me not spamming and staying in topic.

I HAD a custom title.

First it was "Loudmouth racist redneck", and then it was "Pat Buchanan Clone",
But I lost it in the weekend of hell, and I'm title-less for now...

I keep asking Mike for the custom title of Flammpanzer Commander...oh well

"Your post count is insufficient. Prepare to be laminated."
You know at the time I was made mod I had the 5th or 6th highest post count of the board, but I've posted much less since then.
Now I spend most of my time reading threads.

Post count is one possible way but it's not a guarentee of a custom title.

The result of which is generally dull. You've got postcount alone to go on. Heck, what even would be your title? I cant come up with anything period.

and from the board FAQ, one of the ways making a significant contribution to the board is defined as but not limited to "persons with exceptionally high non-spam post counts (>2000posts)."

I realize that reaching a post count of 2000+ in no way guarantees a title as if you had spammed to reach that you should not get any (although it would seem that I would have been better off had I spammed).

Seaskimmer, so I would have had been better off had I spammed to reach this post count?

But it's not a guarentee. It means you can consider it but it's still up to Mike in the end.
