Gorram, that trailer...
If they could reproduce that quality of CGI with actual moving video, then all of the previous doctors could be brought back, with a combination of lookalikes and motion capture. I don't think we're there JUST yet, but give it 5-10 years...

I think that Doctor 6 judging by the costume.
We see Six earlier in the clip. The only answer I've heard so far that makes sense is if it's 8.5/Hurt

For the Americans interested in this: this link shows the theater locations and dates for The Day of the Doctor in the US. Apparently, only 11 theaters will be showing it on November 23, the rest will be showing it on the 25th.

I doubt there are any tickets left by now. When I bought a ticket I was told that the show on the twenty third was almost sold out, and that was days before Halloween. It made me feel like an asshole for taking one of the last tickets from someone else.

Not in the bigger cities, no, but when I check last night the 25th showing in my area still had available tickets.

We've decided to order the Blu-Ray and watch at home, even if that will be a couple weeks late. Heck I had to wait a couple decades at one point to get new Doctor Who, a couple weeks is nothing.

Also, my disabled spouse is leery of crowds. In the past we've had problems with people shoving/knocking him down and stuff like that so we tend to avoid boisterous crowd scenes with lots of healthy young fans. It's not that there's malice involved, just youthful exuberance and a lack of awareness of disabled in the environment.

Ironically, ordering the Blue-Ray is actually cheaper than going to the theater.

The BBC released the official synopsis for the 50th. Spoiler
‘In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion.

‘All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.’
Consider me pumped for November 23rd :P

I know that I shouldn't get my hopes up because its been years since Moffat wrote an episode I really liked, but some of that looks pretty cool. The Dalek's voice sounded different though.

Finally got to see it. Ho lee fuck.
I may be wrong come the 23rd, but this looks astounding from what I've seen so far. Plus it looks like we finally get a proper, actual space battle in Doctor Who!
However, I've also seen what the show can be like when there's a lot of money spent on it (Journey's End, End of Time), so that makes me a little cautious. But hey, eternal optimist and all that :D

It does look..promising.
Spoiler
Even if Hurt is indeed the Time War Doctor which just seems a bit obvious really. SFDebris did a good video looking at the options and pointed out some very good reasons why Hurt being the Time WAr Doctor doesn't work, namely, if he's the one they've forgotten, why does Ten keep talking about what he did in the Time War?
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."

I don't think the Hurt Doctor was disowned by the others just because he wiped out a bunch of races in the Time War - after all, wiping out entire civilizations was one of the Seventh Doctor's favourite hobbies. Something tells me he went beyond just erasing the Time Lords and Daleks (and other various horrors mentioned in The End of Time) and justified it to himself as being necessary to prevent any possible repeat of the Time War.

Spoiler
the timelord we know by that name seems to give great importance to the name "the Doctor" and what that means to him, so it might be possible that the Doctor feels guilty of becoming the "one who broke the promise", while not a perfect explanation it would explain why the doctor feels guilty even if incarnation that did do the deed is locked in his mind and forgotten

Second, longer trailer. I'm getting more excited now.
Spoiler
I'm pretty sure I saw Zygons in there as well, which is cool. plus this:

"Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to ignite the flames." It may sound like a cliche, but listen to it in Hurt's voice and tell me it's not awesome
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"

After re-watching the trailer a solid seven and a half thousand times, I've noticed something's definitely up with Rose. Apart from the obvious- but fleeting- glimpse of her with Bad Wolf Glowy Time Vortex Eyes, her clothes looks odd, and her accent sounded...posh. In the 2005 finale, when she enacted the mother of all deux ex machina's, the Bad Wolf entity had a much more refined accent than ordinary Rose did.
Add this to the fact that 10 and Rose aren't actually seen together in the trailer...maybe it's not actually Rose we're looking at, but the Bad Wolf taking the form of Rose and making a return.
Stranger things have happened...
