Corellian Gunship?

I've seen Corellian Gunships mentioned numerous times in the EU but I haven't seen any solid information on one, or even a picture. I'm kinda curious about them--Leia mentions in Vector Prime that the Corellian Gunship is one of the New Republic's newest vessels, yet the Truce At Bakura Force Sub thread has them listed as some of the vessels available to the New Republic for that battle.

Much thanks to anybody who can point me in the direction of some information about these vessels.

There's probably more than one model of Corellian Gunship. They're a common as dirt smaller warship so it's not suprising that they'd deploy a new model ocassionally.

Corellian Gunship is obviously a colloquialism for any of a number of classes of ship with similar performance and design specifications in SW. Remember that Corellia cranks out hundreds of different ship-classes (kind of like how all small private jets are frequently termed "Lear Jets" even though very few of them are actually made by the Lear company), and that they all share the similar characteristics of powerful engines and weapons. Gunships tend to be fast and have good firepower for ships of their size. The one Leia was referring to was probably a later model, or a new class altogether, because such ships were also available to the NR by the time of the Black Fleet Crisis, just a few years after RotJ.

In Vector Prime, Leia is referring to one of the Ranger-class gunships, IIRC. It is indeed fairly new, and as an antifighter platform quite potent.

phongn is correct. Corellian Gunships are old as dirt even during the time of the OT. It's is kinda like a Corellian Corvette only with the head pointing forward.
