No. Imperial fighter wings were comprised of 6 squadrons of fighters, but Rebel fighter wings had 3 squadrons. It was never made clear whether or not the New Republic moved to wings of 72 fightercraft.

Also, "wings" became more flexible in the New Republic Era, IIRC. They acted more like the modern definition of a wing - a collection of squadrons not neccessarily of n starfighters.

My assumption is based on conservitism. You step in and tell me I need to justify using low end. I see no reason to assume that the energy shields must be massive compared to the particle shields. So if you think there is, post it.

The 3 ISDs slamming into the Executor at near light speeds and the Executor not even getting its paint scorred blatently contradicts you assertion that the particle shields are weak.

I got it. I was always under the impression that Imperial and Rebel wings were equivalent. Do you have a source for that?

The old WEG sourcebooks (if Shep still has them up) showed it. Stackpole's X-Wing series also used this, though this was only +3 ROTJ and thus the Republic had not consolidated themselves.
