Which one do you like better?

Post by His Divine Shadow »

I've made two banners for my site:

Banner 1:

Banner 2:

Now I like Banner 1, but Banner two is more 'situationally'(sp?) correct.

Number 1 looks better, but as you say number 2 is more pertinent. Why not use both, they're both excellent?

Shouldn't there be an '&' between 'quotes' and 'extracts'?

Oh crap, there was that too, just redid the fonts and made a mental note to put in the '&' later, looks like I forgot :P

The font I use doesn't support the '&' sign so I use Arial

I would prefer the second, if the the caption was moved and the color of it was changed, so its easier to read.

The "look sir" line on the second one is hard to read. So I'd go with number one. If it can be moved, go with two.

The second one seems ...empty... between the stormies, whereas on the first one, the color contrast is great, and it seems fuller. I still prefer the first.

I can't see Banner number 1, but I really like Banner number 2 anyway. :)

Even when I go to the URL, it shows nothing, and using Select All/Properties tells me it's a 32x32 GIF :?

hmm, it's not tho, it's a JPEG, very similar to the one you see.

Um, That's the same link. :?

I know it's a Jpeg, but there's nothing showing when I go there, and when I use properties it says it's a Gif image (even though it gives the filename as Jpg). Don't worry about it, everyone else can see it, so it's just another manifestation of my Computers idiosyncrasies.

Well everyone else can see it and have commented, so it must be at my end. So by default I'll say Banner 2 is the better one. :D

Put me down for number 2 as well. But it probably would be better if you could float the stormy on the left a few dozen pixels to the right. The empty space is just a touch too large.

Banner two, since it is more colorful and not as blueish as the first picture is.

Although it looks empty compared to the other, I still prefer the second one. It also fits with the quote better.
