Fucking cool video

Post by XaLEv »

Check this out: http://www.stilemedia.com/?v=panic4.mpg

It's a vehicle with a missile launcher (don't know what kind) mounted on it shooting a tank a few hundred meters away. The link leads to the download page. Be warned that there are nudity-containing banner ads.

That was the bee's knees.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

This was on the HAB forum ages ago.

It's a HMMWV LOSAT hitting some sort of old derelict tank- definitely a Western tank though.

Note that the destruction isn't nearly as much as the video attempts to make out- if it had waited for the smoke to clear, there'd be a nice little hole in the vehicle and nothing more. The impact did knock off a track guard though.

Also, this video has a fucking stupid soundtrack. :)

By the turret profile, it looks like a M-41 (light tank). The sound track is crappy though.
And why is this connected to some porn sites?????

Sometimes porn banners are the only way to keep your sites up (if your personal income sucks, that is)- see warez.

Of course, the video was cool.

It's hosted on Stileproject. It's full of porn. And gore, and cute kitties, and shit blowing up, and plain weirdness.

That's par for the course. Northrop Grumman had a stand at Farnborough with an immense video screen, showing footage of B-2s dropping live bombs on live people and Afghanistan FLIR imagery of shit blowing up - and what was their choice of soundtrack?
Yes, the theme from Flashdance, 'What a Feeling'. But of course! :?

Those military tech guys have either no taste in music or are sicker than we thought.

Music quality varies with this sort of video. Probably depends on the companies public relations department.

I have all of them. But its somewhat annoying that they reused the same songs a couple times.

Same here, it would be quite nasty if their armour had the ability to carry huge loudspeakers that blasted that soundtrack out for klicks around. I can only imagine the panic the enemy would feel.

American troops did that in Vietnam, with speakers on helicopters. Australian forces had an even better idea. They told the Vietnamese that the sound of their bagpipes was the screams of all the communists they’d killed, causing many to flee whenever they where heard.

Lol, I've heard of some psychological aspects of sound being used before but that last one is new.

We had bagpipes in Vietnam? Wierd.

I don't care what the music is too- watching three Tor-M1 missiles all strike the same airborne target in succession was just great :)

I simply LOVE VLS systems, especially when said missiles have vector thrusting for that added agility.

I couldn't believe one target was hit not once, not twice, but thrice.
