Truce @ Bakura force sub
The combined Rebel/Imperial Fleet from Truce @ Bakura versus invaders from the ST galaxy rather than the Ssi Ruuk.
The combined fleet consisted of:
Carrack Class Cruiser Dominant
Alliance Escort Carrier Flurry
Six Corellian Gunships
Planetary Based TIE Fighters (standard fighters, i think no more than 72)
72 Rebel Starfighters based on Flurry, X Wings and A Wings IIRC
the Millenium Falcon
Which Star Trek power would fare best against this fleet assuming a fleet of similar strength?

A Decent Force of Akulas stands a good chance of winning, The Slave Rig fighters attacked in Swarms of thousands aginst capships and it still took a beating before they went down, Siss-Ruuk techology is rather weak by Imperal Standerds meaning a nice 800 Akiras could have won the day in this substution though to be certian I would want 48 Defiants to go on Cap ship strikes

Interesting comments so far, 800 Akiras though seems like a much larger force than anything the Feds could field though. And im sure that the Ssi Ruuk tech isn't that weak by Imperial Standards that a TIE Fighter could taken them on with a 1-100 disadvantage
I'm going to have to grab my copy of TaB and come up with Ssi Ruuvi fleet estimates.

I said 72 because thats how many fighters I thought the FLurry was carrying, my bad. thought it held a whole wing. Forgot about the other ships too.
that being said it still doesnt seem to be altering the outcome much.

one escort carier,
1 correlian corvette
4 gunships not 6
and less then 36 fighters
the rebellian couldnt spare a large force than that

If you had bothered to read the long dead thread we already corrected that issue n00b.

B-Wings are powerful for big fighters but I'm not so sure they could successfully take on a Federation fleet. It depends on how big the fleet is, of course.Darth Pounder wrote:The 4 B-Wings alone could take on a feddie fleet. IIRC a B-Wing is equiped with a LTL which can pop even a sovies shields.
The B-Wings will each probably carry anti-capship weapons, right? Do we know how those weapons compare to Slave One's, and how many do they carry?
Also, how do B-Wing shields compare to Y or X-Wings', which struggle under the impact of a few starfighter blasts, or several kilotons? Since the B is bigger, I think its shields are probably going to be more powerful, but by how much? Enough that a dead-on phaser strike or two would be ineffectual? (I do think the Starfleet ships could hit a B-Wing.)
Also, what do people consider a "LTL" lately? I always regarded them as the weapons used to vaporize asteroids in TESB, or weapons that are comparable in size to the Acclamator's 6 megaton/shot cannons. Is a light turbolaser thought to be something different now?
If they're still regarded as weapons which typically output a couple of megatons or so, I don't think that'd necessarily drop a SCS's shields, let alone "pop" it But if they're hundreds or even dozens of megatons, I would have to agree with you.
I definitely think the B-Wings' missiles or protorps will probably pack enough of a punch to kill Starfleet cruisers with a single hit. But with only 4 Bees, I could also see the Federation ships doing serious damage before they themselves were destroyed. It's very hard to say, with the Bees' shield strength as an unknown...

Slight qualifier here:seanrobertson wrote: If they're still regarded as weapons which typically output a couple of megatons or so, I don't think that'd necessarily drop a SCS's shields, let alone "pop" it But if they're hundreds or even dozens of megatons, I would have to agree with you.
I meant a weapon in the few megatons range shouldn't pop a SCS's shield in a single hit (it might; depends on how powerful you think their shields might be).
Multiple hits, perhaps as few as 5-6, could do the trick if those turbolasers have the same kind of power the small capship weapons do.
I don't see that such is impossible by any means, I simply can't confirm it at the moment...

As for 800 Atkiras...
I don't think the fed has more than 50, mabey less?
Unless you play startreck amada...
And mabey 10 defients...
And lss than 15 Glaseys,
And only 2 sov's...
So it would get its ass kicked,
Unlessed they just kept ramming them, but pasher banks make short work of TIEs, pin point accurcy...
But no so vs's B-Wings, hey have 16 I think Hevery rockeds, which makes a star destroyer wince, and ions cannons...
And hyper drive..
Good bye fedeation.
Perhaps I should be the new battle of wolf 359.
"Sir the battered carrak and its rusty escorts are nering earth, the fleet is distroyed what do we do?"
Atack!
(A few seconds later, a B-Wing puts a trop thought the enterprises Bridge.)
And earth surrenders to a TIE.
