I think he believes that, in TESB, Luke's wingman that got shot down was Wedge (because Wedge was seen at a different point in the battle). However, that speeder that was shot down was piloted by Hobbie... and there's no evidence that those in the speeder were killed.

If he had been killed in TESB he would`nt have been there for the victory celebration in ROTJ.

Hobbie was his Wingman(gets into oddball grey since Hobbie apparently dies in the Novel but takes General Veer with him but in later EU both are alive and well is usually considered not the case)

But Dack was his Gunner.

Originally, Hobbie was supposed to die with Veers. But they cut that bit out of the final version of the film, so I guess it overrides the novel.

Both were shot down. Zev died, Hobbie didn't.

Where did he *die* a lot?

I mean so far throughout Star Wars he has always been shown compentent and a helluva a pilot. Wes and Janson maybe....but Wedge, are you seeing and reading the same things we are?[/quote]

Dont Want to nitpick but its Wes Jansen, not two different charicters.

<Ahem>

Please ignore my ignorant ramblings. Sorry for the time-waster. My opinion of Wedge is somewhat.... half-baked. I apologize.

And I'm glad someone turned the thread into halfway-intelligent conversation.

Wedge is not comic relief, he's more of the "Junkyard Dog" who been through 27 kinds of hell and still going.

Again, "moron" was the wrong word.

It seems apparent they are both talking about Corran Horn. If they aren't sock puppets they are in cahoots.

Another thing i'd like to point out is that Queenie and Carboxylus both use LEGO SW characters as advatars. Coincidence, i think not.

Whoa, hold up, there, Hoss! "He tends to die a lot."?! I'm still a SW n00b, but that statement is a little... out there. Anyone care to explain why this guy has managed to make a habit of getting killed?

There is no explanation. Queeb Salaron is completely clueless and full of shit. To the best of my knowledge no character in Star Wars has died and come back except for Emperor Palpatine, and he didn't make a *habit* of it exactly.
