Old testament god's works versus current era humanity's works, who is more wonderous. (assuming the bible is correct in all things bar genesis, that just takes the piss)

Actually, if we take the eyewitness accounts of the Old Testament to be true and disregard God's own boasting (for example; there were no eyewitnesses to God's claim that he made the Earth in six days), he is far from onnipotent. Most of his "miracles" merely take advantage of some natural phenomenon (eg- pretending that he caused an eclipse or locust infestation in Egypt, for example).

First, he did not flood the Earth, even according to the Bible (again, you're failing to distinguish between boasts and eyewitness data). He only flooded the area of Noah's observation. The fact that they found growing trees after the flood indicates that he could not have flooded the Earth, because a truly flooded Earth would have killed all the trees.

Second, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is no more impressive than the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and probably LESS impressive since I doubt those towns were anywhere near as large.

And third, while some people prefer to ignore literal interpretations of Biblical accounts in favour of this mamby-pamby "he's a floating spirit in my heart" idea, the fact is that taken literally, God has the form of a man. He can even be wrestled. Therefore, if he came back, we would be able to identify him and nuke him. It's not as if he ever demonstrated any kind of ability to take punishment in the Bible, and his habit of taking credit for natural events indicates that his power is greatly overstated. Any modern man with modern technology could duplicate his observed feats, which are far more limited than the natural phenomena he takes credit for.

That having been said, I think the "True" God is a great deal more powerful than you give him credit for, he certainly taught those Loser Ra-worshippers! (I'm refering to the Sorcerors, I know the whole shpleel about how the plagues can be attributed to natural events.)

There is no "true" god. God is a figment of your imagination. We're discussing the Biblical God, not whatever all-powerful entity you care to make up off the top of your head.

No one can find an example of a Biblical incident which was eyewitnessed (I know we're assuming the eyewitnesses to be reliable, but that's the game) and could not be simulated by a modern man with modern technology with accurate data on weather, lunar eclipse cycles, etc.

Therefore, there is no reason not to believe that you could kill him with a sniper rifle. The guy was always hiding in shadows, talking out of burning bushes, talking to Moses only when he could get him alone, working through proxies, sending people to do his talking for him, etc. Don't you think he was afraid of something?

In fairness, we can't really establish an upper limit based on this; for all we know, God could in fact have been responsible for these events. It is quite possible that they occured without his influence, but we don't know that for sure.

Actually, most modern frames are still steel. Some newer cars which require low weight (the Honda Insight being chief amongst these) replace this with aluminum, but it's still expensive in comparison to steel (in the case of the Insight, this bumped up the price tag significantly when coupled with the unconventional engine).
