Of the four, I would pick planet A first.

A planet of 6 Billion normal people clearly can not exist, so those life signs must be false readings, maybe a bunch of Holographic projectors or something. Hence blowing up that planet would have the least death toll.

Seriously though D would be my first choice, B my second, C and then A.

I was thinking of destroying A as a mercy killing (They are badly outnumbered and probably recieves spam mail from the other three planets), but why should I let the others live when I can choose not to...

D first because, let's face it, religious fundies are some of the most dangerous people the world has ever seen. While they're capable of great charity, they're also capable of reaching into the depths of depravity with equal ease. They need to go in case they ever decide to go for option B over option A.

C and B are awfully similar, but Trekkies willingly subject themselves to stupidity, while retards really can't help it. Frankly, anyone who suggested 'B' first ought to hang their heads in shame.

A last, for obvious reasons. The planet of retards would essentially be a gigantic institution, and so would be a drain on resources, while planet A would serve some useful purpose...industry, agriculture, pornography, whatever.

I had the same answer as you, for slightly different reasons: Its not you that is letting the others live.

Tarkin is the one with the power, its his choice who to kill, he can't really dump the responsability on you as you don't control his actions. You could pick one, and he might destroy all put that one, he might destroy none at all, he might get a "high" from the power trip and start blasting all sorts of planets. I would make these points clear to him, that's about it.
