Bush, Blair, et. al gave Hussein 48 hours to clear Iraq. Hussein said no; though AFAIK they didn't actually say that they'd not attack within the 48 hour timeframe.

Now if i'd had my way Saddam would have been polished off quietly and Iraq taken apart and rebuilt. The republic of Kurdistan in the north, and a few others.

This isn't going to be like last time where the confrontations were in the open desert, most of the fighting will occur in the cities this time, and you can't win a city fight with an air war and 'precision strikes'.
The US will win in the end but it I fear it will be more difficult and more costly than last time.

Bahrain is offering safe haven to him, to prevent war. So have some others.
