I believe this is correct. Adamantium is a fairly integral part of Wolverine's character and has always been in the public eye there, while Ultron is less well known and might as well just be made out of regular metal for all they know. The fact that his exterior is adamantium would only really be relevant to a serious geek, until now.

Palladium isn't either. At least, the palladium Stark used to make his first arc reactor was apparently not radioactive and could be safely handled without special protective gear. While the stuff was poisoning him in Iron Man 2, it appeared to be poisoning him chemically, not through radiation.

So while there are certainly radioactive palladium isotopes, there's no indication Stark used them, and reason to believe that he didn't. In which case the arc reactor's power supply does not rely on radioactive materials.

If I recall the way the rights deal goes, it has to be something specific to the X-Men for them to retain the rights completely. Adamantium, no mater how much people associate it with Wolverine, is not and never has been specific to the X-Men and Wolverine. It was introduced in the Avengers specifically for Ultron and has almost always (since 1966) been a part of the Ultron stories and the reason why he is a threat to the entirety of the fucking Avengers.

Now whether, they want to raise Ultron up to that level is something else entirely and I would be surprised if they went that way when they have shown that whatever the hell Iron Man is made out of is pretty much indestructible for all intents and purposes as it is.

Be that as it may, Fox appears to have rights to the term for movie purposes. They also have exclusive use of the term "mutant" for movies based on Marvel IPs.

Yeah, Marvel made some bad deals, back in the day.

Well 'mutant' was and is exclusive to the X-Men. Like I said, adamantium never was. The fact that the Avengers movies are using Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch, which have the same basic story as adamantium (created for Avengers, co-opted and became more well known as mutants and with the X-Men) shows that if they wanted to, they probably could use adamantium. Like I said though, there is the issue of if it is even needed, and it really isn't.

I recall reading that references to adamantium being in Cap's shield were excised so people wouldn't get them confused with the X-Men universe.

So rights or no rights, they might just avoid the term anyway.

Yeah, there is no reason to have it. Although I think they took the adamantium out of Cap's shield ages ago.

New trailer, shows a bit of fun at the Stark tower before the shit hits the fan. Watch Cap as he tries to lift Mjolnir...it almost moves.

On the unknown chick that we see in the party scene, which some speculation has placed as possibly Carol Danvers in a brunette look:

My guess is this may be the character portrayed by Claudia Kim?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avengers:_Age_of_Ultron (scroll down to the cast section)

Supposedly "doctor/scientist and friend of Tony Stark". I have no idea who she could be, though. I doubt she's meant to be Carol Danvers as being an Air Force captain has always been part of her identity. Could be a new take, I suppose. An alternative might be an AI scientist who helps Stark create Ultron. Jocasta?

Ooh. Janet Van Dyne?

I'd say Carol Danvers is going to show up. Marvel's got a Captain Marvel movie lined up, and she seems the most likely of the Captain Marvels for that.

Even better than Captain budging Mjolnir slightly was Thor's face when he heard it budge.

Well Cap is probably the most worthy of those in the room (other than Thor himself), but that little nudge is probably a clue as to something happening later in the movie. Say, Thor is knocked out of the fight and Cap is forced to take up the hammer to defend innocents or to attack the big baddie even though it may mean his death. Protecting the innocent or noble self-sacrifice are two ideas that Mjolnir could very well consider to be worthy.

Nope. Chick sitting by Thor. Long dark hair. The clip never really shows her face, but there are distinctly three women there-- Maria, Natalia, and the unknown woman. You only see her in flashes right now.

Dude... there is no chick sitting by Thor. There is Hill sitting next to Hawkeye and Widow. That's it.

0:51. Between Thor and ScarJo.

Edit: Also visible from the back at 0:46 as Thor reaches for the hammer. Blue dress.

Oh, yeah, fucking A, you're right.

Well, my initial guess would be Natalie Portman, but I don't think she would be sitting separate from Thor.

It's definitely not Danvers because they haven't cast her yet. Maybe Rhoade's date? Cap's?

Maybe it's supposed to be that former SHIELD agent who was Cap's neighbor/bodyguard from Winter Soldier?

I doubt Cap would be seeing anybody but I'd say if it's his date it might be Agent 13 from Winter Soldier.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emily_VanCamp

She's a blonde, not a brunette, but that's not a big deal. They do seem to have different builds though-- this girl is a bit more skinny.

A date for Rhodey might be possible. That was the speculation I read, that it's Carol Danvers, but they haven't cast her yet (or just not announced it).

We're ignoring the obvious though. It's Tony bleeding Stark hosting the party. He changes chicks as often as we change our socks. That said, I'm pretty sure it's Claudia Kim's character.

In the MCU? Probably not, no. That's why I'm fairly sure it's Claudia Kim as she has a definite role (doctor/scientist/friend of Stark). Plus Ultron shows up at the end of that bit, so I suspect she's associated with Ultron in some way, and I'm pretty sure she's not meant to be Carol Danvers. I'm thinking she may turn out to be Janet Dyne, as that would connect Ultron to Pym in a way, especially if she's involved with creating the robot. Carol Danvers would be kinda out of left field, but it wouldn't be the first time the MCU has randomly sprung a hero on us (see Hawkeye in the first Thor movie).

And Peggy Carter is in it, but I think Kim is probably correct.
