New York Times is reporting Leonard Nimoy has died.

What a shame. TOS was before my time, but I loved the movies. That said, most of my memorable Nimoy moments were those when he wasn't on screen, or was just drawn. His Simpsons cameos were pretty good, but I loved him any time he was on Futurama. He's got that voice you just instantly recognize. I never even liked the Transformers cartoon, but damn I loved Nimoy as Galvatron in the movie.
Guys like him are always classy. They never seem to mind taking any job, no matter how trivial because they love doing what they do and nothing was beneath them.

Nimoy had bit parts in some of my favorite old monster movies. The old giant-ant movie THEM!!! had him play a 2 minute role as a young army officer...but I would look for that scene every time I watched that movie.
