Mother, 33, convinced husband she met online to repeatedly

Mia DeGraaf wrote:An infertile woman convinced her new husband to repeatedly rape her 15-year-old daughter so she could have another child.

Misty Machinshok, 33, has been jailed for 15 to 30 years for the abuse in which she 'coached' the pair on the best positions to conceive, and held her daughter's hand 'the first few times'.

She planned to tell friends and family that the teenager got pregnant with a stranger at a house party in their home town of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Her 29-year-old husband Gary Machinshok, who she met through a website called onlinebootycall.com, will be sentenced this month after pleading no contest to raping the child 'every few days' throughout 2013.

Jesus Christ.

Their are some really twisted people in this world.

I'm not sure what else their is to say about this other than I hope the people who did this get the longest possible sentence and I hope the poor daughter can recover from what was done to her by the people who should have been taking care of her.

Just... why?! I know you want another baby but there is this thing called ADOPTION. I guess the only real way she thought the child would be 'legitimate' would be if it were related to her. But... fucking hell.

I am pretty sure we can assume she was never going to qualify for any sort of adoption.

And there really are people who won't accept an adopted child, only one actually related by blood.

She probably wanted a grandchild already, since she could not have any more children.

Considering that he also sexually assaulted the 11 year old daughter, I doubt he needed much "convincing".

biologically, this makes sense... no? It IS science.

Biology and genetics is responsible for surprisingly little about our family and social structures, near as I can tell.

Except... there are NUMEROUS examples throughout history of people adopting children either only distantly related, or not related at all. The ability to accept a non-relative child into the family is a human trait. Perhaps it is related to our ability to work cooperatively with non-relatives, another trait of human beings. We form social and cultural alliances as well as those based on biology.

Has anyone looked at the picture of dear Fra Misty Machinshok in the photo from the link in the OP? I have, and considering that she is merely 33, looks 45, and seems to be missing a number of teeth, I'm calling meth.

Meth use has a known sexual component. The dopamine-ramping amplifies orgasms in many users, which leads to addiction, dopamine depletion, and the seeking of ever more extreme experiences to compensate for that. The CDC has multiple studies, including this one. They have several others I don't care to look up, as well as one that discusses the link between methamphetamine, orgasm amplification, and female addiction, circa I think 2004. If you want anecdotal statements, google blulight, methamphetamine, and orgasm. Most of the complaints will be from women in recovery.

This women, I bet, didn't give a single shit about having a biological child/grandchild with her "husband". It was about the sexual degradation of her daughter, and her complete submission the the pervert she married. If she gave a damn about her own children, she wouldn't have let her "guy" fuck them - 15 or 11-year-old, much less have participated ( holding her hand, ... heh ).
I have come to the conclusion that my subjective account of my motivation is largely mythical on almost all occasions. I don't know why I do things.

Standard heteronormativity dictates that one and their partner make a child and thus a family. Deviance from this is not always taken well.

All of that is fairly recent in historical terms, at least as far as the nuclear family goes. Nor am I seeing a reason to think that's a natural outgrowth of our genetics, since communal child rearing of some sort was and is way more common in most societies.

...Or maybe not. Just read piece in the Times-Leader, the local paper for this community. No mention of drug charges being filed. Which, just makes this worse.

It reminds me of the abused phrase "Blood is thicker than water", which I already know means the exact opposite, but there are some people who take that phrase to literally claim that anyone except family isn't to be trusted.

People are pretty fucked up sometimes.
