I've been hearing unconfirmed reports from various websites across the 'net that some protestors have been blocking emergency vehicles.
I heard the same thing on the radio. Considering this is the US, I smell a potential lawsuit from people whose relatives suffered from the ambulances being blocked.

But anyways, just to let you guys know, one of the campus buildings ( Duncan Hall) recieved a bomb threat earlier today. First it was anthrax, now its bombs. They could of at least done it while i had my calc and physics midterms yesterday.
My first year there, it was pretty common to get bomb threats or fire alarms during midterms. It got annoying after a while, cause you knew it was just someone trying to avoid a test. Everytime it happened to me, it was in Dudley Morehead Hall.

See, I would go to peaceful rallies, but that sort of thing crosses the line into criminal activity. First Amendment rights don't stretch that far. These people are the anarchists and rebels, not the political opposition that tries to remain reasonable. It's a shame that the lunatics are out in strength.

Oh, and don't try driving through the protesters. A guy did just that, and the protesters dragged him out of his minivan, gave him a severe beating, and looted the van. God Bless America.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

He should have locked the doors and goosed the engine full throttle

I guess he should have, but I gather he didn't feel like killing anybody.
The shots on tv were from a helicopter, so I didn't get that good a view, but it looked like the van was pretty much fuxored. I bet he went in, knocked into a few of them, they started banging on it, he didn't move or maybe went forward or backwards a bit, but by then, it was too late. The protesters were out of their fucking minds (obviously); they were totally Rodney Kinging the guy.

I'd understand why someone would do that, either beacuse they were annoyed by the protestors, or they were blocking traffic. The beating was uncalled for, though.

If I lived over there and had the $$, I'd get some ear protectors, some overpowered subwoofers and start thumping my way through the crowd
My boss had ran over a protester during Gulf War I in his truck. For a very brief second, I was surprised he did that. And he's not the sort of person that would B.S. What was funny was that the cop trying to direct traffic at the time made eye contact with him, and just kept signaling my boss to just drive along.
Honest question: Would anybody really care if California fell into the sea?
Think about it, what comes from California anyways:
Disneyland? Bah, Disney world is better, to say nothing of 6 flags or Busch Gardens
Hollywood? Most stuff coming from hollywood today is carp, and most good movies are actually shot in other countries (IE New Zealand for LOTR, Australia for AOTC, New York for Spider-man)
Citrus? Flordia
Porn? That's about the only worthwhile thing, but frankly both Russia and Sweden make far superior stuff.
So since we wouldn't really loose anything, here's hoping that fucking state slides right off into the depths, and we can watch the sharks eat these fucktards
