Revelations

Post by UltraViolence83 »

This was in my CompuSuck's "What's New" menu:

Baghdad is next to the river Eurypthrates (sp?), Saddam's name kinda means "destroyer" which is what the Hebrew "Abbadon" means, and that this war will start the nuclear war that wipes out a third of humanity.

Why the hell don't the idiots just shut up and enjoy life? Why do fundies in this country almost all have a "We're against the world!" mentality? Groan. More fodder for my uncle's growing insanity...

Eh, if they are so willing to cause the Apocalypse, I say hand em a rifle and send em to the some deserted island where they can live out their fantasies...meanwhile I'll be content to go on living here...

And why will fighting a dictator that has a name that sounds like something that means "destroyer" start a nuclear war?

They say if the Euryphrates dries up, Armageddon is at hand. Can a nuke burn up the whole river, or would it burn up some and then after awhile the rest of the water will flood it again?

Penn and Teller did a Bullshit on the Apocalypse fanatics. Basically, Penn translated the nursery rhyme "The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round" into Latin and then proceded to prognosticate events which had already happened based on the lyrics. Really very clever. :)

Awesome. That's only on Showtime or HBO or whatever premium channel, huh? I can't get it, then.

Yeah, I like to do that myself sometimes. Find old shit like revelations and decipher things that already happened.

What I like is how they claim that these prophecies are so 100% accurate yet you need a religious nutcase to figure them out for you so they don't look like one big terrible acid trip.
