Requesting Temp Ban

Post by Pu-239 »

I got a project due on monday and another due on Thursday. Can I have a temp ban until next Friday?

Also, can it also block me viewing the board, or just posting? If it can't then nevermind.

There's no way to block you from viewing.

Only an IP ban can block you from viewing the board, and you're on dial-up so your IP keeps changing. The world would be a much simpler place if everybody had a static IP.

gah...

I thought you could ban a whole range of IP addresses, and I seem to be the only one here who lives in Northern VA and/or uses Erols/Starpower as an ISP.

It's possible, but I'm usually reluctant to do it because of collateral damage.

Unplug the phoneline going to your modem. Use it to hang decorations from your bedroom ceiling until your reports are done.

I have the same problem. I feel compelled to spend several hours of my day here, and that's time I could spend doing something else. This is made worse because if I'm not doing a bunch of other activities like my friends, I feel inferior to them.

You people are having trouble leaving? I have trouble staying. I find that I have to force myself to get on so that I could just get my few whitty remarks in and then I'm gone. There's just a limited amount of time in a day and doing everything in it is tough. There, my whitty remark of the day :P .

That's kinda severe, when SD.net interferes with your work. We'll have to wean you off it.

Nothing. Really. Funny thing about working in small company is that people (bosses included!) tend to be more tolerant and the working atmosphere is kinda informal.

Of course, should I hadn't switched back to work, I would got *fired*.
