Apologies if it was improper to mention this- I had thought it fitting to post a remark on the origins of the article that was linked to, separate from Metahive's (correct) observation that it appears to have been poorly sourced.

Since I'm an avid reader of Der Spiegel I'll comment on this:

Okay, dudes, here's the quoted Der Spiegel article in the original german (just guessing considering the "gatestoneinstitute" didn't specify where exactly they got it from but the translation fits for the most part)

Just for the record, the Gatestone Institute would appear to be a think tank chaired by (at the moment) John R. Bolton, that guy who the Bush administration made ambassador to the UN.

So yeah, I'm not surprised they cherrypicked misleading quotes from a Der Spiegel article to fit the "Europe is being OVERRUN BY MOOSLIMS" narrative favored by the neoconservative right in the US.
