Force Awakens release date changed..in Europe

The Brits get it one day early...
The official U.K. branch of the Star Wars page on Facebook has confirmed that the release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the United Kingdom has been brought forward a day.

In a post that appears to have confused a number of fans, they did this by announcing that today, Sept. 8, is 100 days away from the premiere.

But, as the account assured numerous commenters, they hadn't counted wrong: The Force Awakens will open in theaters a day earlier than previously announced, which would put midnight screening preparations on Wednesday, Dec. 16. But before you let your dark emotions get the better of you where England is concerned, you should hear about France.
But the French beat them.
Because of a rule that new movies come out on Wednesdays, France will be getting The Force Awakens a day before England, with midnight screenings on Dec. 15, reports The Telegraph. So if you want to see the first new Star Wars trilogy in sixteen years, you might need to buy a plane ticket. At the very least, you should keep an eye out for spoilers in the third week of December.[/quote wrote:

It's opening here in the Nordic countries on the same day as France.

Why can't they just have one global release date? I will never understand this.
