If it has the YV ships, then maybe you don't have to read about them in the novel. You can just skim through the YV ship section :D

Bullshit expected in very large quantities, especially with Vong.

You know I'm thinking we should go through an tear-apart stupidities and pulled-out-of-the-ass and blatently brain-bugged stupidities and such and post our critique.

We should start doing this for SW Source materials in general. Publicize the crap in the EU and see if we can purify things out.

That is truly an awful rendition of the Executor. Bridge tower aside, the angle they chose to draw it at is a terrible one. It looks just plain weird from th rear, where the tail section juts out all blocky and ugly. Frontal, side, top-down, and diagnal angles seen in other books are far superior.

The N-1 looks nothing like the sleek, agile fighter I saw in TPM.

Otherwise, expect the same old stuff. WEG stats ahoy!

If it looked more to scale, and properly done, that is a bad ass shot of an SSD. My avatar used to be of that, taken from the scene over Hoth.

No, an Executor class is all straight edges, and is pretty much an angular arrowhead.

Thats wierd, cos i thought Executor was the name of a flag ship, not a class......

It's both. The first ship in a class according to naval tradition gives it's name to the class. For example Essex and the Essex-class.

First, a flagship is just a ship with a flag officer (in Sci-Fi it is now the commanding warship in a fleet).

Second, the first name of the first ship of a class is the same as that class.

The Executor looks hideous. And what the hell is that green ship in the picture, the squashed one with the wings?

Well, I thought that Executor was just the name of Vader's ship, not a class, ok?

No, you've got that one wrong. In fact I remember flaming him repeatedly on numerous threads for flaws just like that. I'm not talking about his ability to CREATE, just his ability to draw. It's very impressive really. Other than that, I don't think he should have been lead designer, and I wonder why he's not heading it up again on Ep III, much less working with Lucas Ltd at all. odd

Precisely. One wonders after seeing TPM if he found inspiration in WEG.

"Battleships" with worthless combat characteristics.

Landing ships that should structurally fall apart.

Tanks that are never demonstrated to be able to use their "shell" firing weaponry.

A SW-level army armed with melee and throwing weapons.

TradeFed Battleships hav ebeen said again and again to indeed not be battleships in a true sense. The TF Battleship is actually a cargo hauler, and was modified so it could fight capships and have cargo room at the same time.

C-9979 Landing craft use "tensor fields" to strengthen certain key girders on the ships structure to allow it to stay together. The design in and of itself is stupid though.

Huh? AATs used their shells for a brief few moments in TPM. Right after the shield is destroyed, it cuts to a group of AATs shootign at the Gungans, and you see projectiles flying out the holes at the base of the tank. Although they don't look like actual missles, neither do any other ones in SW.

Gungan army was stupid, though. TPM still sucks too. Only redeming quality is the lightsaber duel, and the podrace.
