what if.....
ok, i was really bored and i was just thinking how fun it would be to just show up in iraq sitting in a MADCAT. to hell with worring about chemical warefare, just stomp through the country crushing everything, god that would be a blast.
so... if you could go smashing through iraq, what would you go in, and what would you do? curious to hear your responses, and no over kill please (ie. macross canon )

A Victory-class Star Destroyer. Land it right outside Baghdad, engine nozzles pointing at the city, and fire it up. (Kudos to anyone who knows what fanfic I got that idea from.)
Or just park the VSD about 1,000 feet over Baghdad and let them do their worst, then train all guns on the city and demand surrender.

Master Chief and a team of Spartans, first we rescue every American POW, and then we go for the head bastard himself. If they're not aviliable, the unlikely combination of Darth Maul and Jango Fett will do fine. (remeber i get to deploy whatever i want)
Once they've completed their mission we send in one Zerg for every grain of sand in that god forsaken desert. If not the Zerg, An incredibly pissed off Majin Buu.
then on to France

Damnit. You beat me to it you little fucker. LoL. I had a thought of AT-ATs in the sand the other day to. LoL. You seem pretty good with the image doctoring. Can you get a shot of Baghdad and implant a couple of AT-ATs on the horizon?

Support Cobra. 90mm of armor that provides it protection almost equal to an Abrams (special alloys), with a 45mm autocannon, 105mm field gun, and 10mm machinegun. Main problem would be keeping it supplied with ammunition, but the autocannon alone should be able to take out most anything the Iraqis have.
Either that or a Dark Kodiak. Not quite as much punch or armor, but it is designed for stealth, with RAM plates and sloped armor. Plus it has better fire control.

It would be a blast, but that blast would be going right through your chest cavity. Based on the mass and size of the MadCat, you won't have armour to protect against even light anti-tank weapons, so you'll be eating Iraqi RPG.drifter god wrote:ok, i was really bored and i was just thinking how fun it would be to just show up in iraq sitting in a MADCAT. to hell with worring about chemical warefare, just stomp through the country crushing everything, god that would be a blast.
WMD's are no good because if you're going to do that, you might as well just launch an ICBM. So you need something which is capable of targeting and killing distinct targets. My choice would be an Acclamator hovering at low altitude, preferably with a full clonetrooper payload. I could use its guns set on low-yield to pick off important targets from the air, with the ability to dial up the yield as needed to wipe out even the largest structures or fortifications effortlessly. Hovering over friendly forces with this thing would allow pinpoint bombardment of any point necessary to support their movements.so... if you could go smashing through iraq, what would you go in, and what would you do? curious to hear your responses, and no over kill please (ie. macross canon )
The effect on Iraqi morale would be huge, since they would probably find it more difficult to stand and resolutely fight American and British forces while having to breathe in the stench after soiling themselves.

Wong has a good idea. Maybe a Gundam or a mobile suit, but I can only use the beam weaponary, of course, if you've ever played me in Armored Core or Zone of the Enders, you'd know why. Heh.

Oh hoh! We've moved up from vehicles to transformers and mechs eh?
All right then. Well in such a case, the 3 best transformers to send into this situation would be TM2 Beast Wars Megatron, RID Galvatron, and BW2 Galvatron
Giant Red Dragon + Giant Black & White 2 headed Dragon + Giant Purple Dragon
Great satan that!

An Imperator titan.
Capital-ship grade void shields and weapons, meters-thick armour plate, and capable of crushing anything I don't want to waste ammo on.
If thats not allowed, then I'll take a Titan Engine.
Huge, with a massive arsenal of magic and coventional firepower, and armour that deflects plasma blasts that turn buildings to vapour.
