Given your infamy was maxed out... isn't taking more territory just going to inflate it more and make another all-out war more likely?
Also, the Krakatoa bit, I can't help but mentally add "And somewhere in the tunnels under Edinburgh, an Englishman screams, "Dammit McCoy, did you have to do that?!'"

After you beat every great power, there is an event that fires which removes all excess infamy and puts you under the limit.

Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? Ah. I haven't done much in that mod yet, I got distracted by other games (and right now I'm focusing on writing too).

Re: [Vic2 LP] How Bismarck got his herring - game thread
The Russians were damned tough, because they were just a flood of bodies, each beaten army replaced by the next one as they mobilized their people. The others were easier and once I had beaten France I knew I would win the land war. The sea blockade I only survived due to my currency reserves as the industry went down, but once France and Russia were once again trading with me it did little. The USA was annoying whack-a-mole.

A look at our overall reform program. We are making great progress.
Grad students all over the world first hate him, then love him, then hate him again. Without him, modern sociology would not exist and a large part of the humanities - especially law and history - owe a debt to this great scholar.
This allowed us to do the following:
If we have to tolerate the cockroaches, at the very least we shall heavily regulate them.
More commerce tech and administrative efficiency please (because ours was taking a hit due to all the social reforms needing new bureaucracies to enforce them).
We enacted excellent safety regulations.
*British commerce quakes in fear*
Evil insider joke or the greatest reference ever?
The Ottoman Empire was added to our sphere of influence.
This allowed us to do a two important decisions:
(the restore the academia gets rid of Krupp in favor of a more balanced academia with shitty boni, so we shall not use it).
More stuff for us and some lip service paid to both Jews and Anti-Semites.
Damn, Spain.
Let's take a look at the scramble for Africa:
Yeah, the Spanish and the French are definitely winning it right now, getting the richest and most densely-populated parts. Though France got a lot more useless desert than Spain....
But why go to Africa if you can help your workers at home?
And then:
The Japanese when they were writing this
Our armies promptly collapsed of laughter and nobody took much notice of it.
Synthetic Oil....
....and Daimler. MERCEDES BEST CAR, ALL OTHER CARS INFERIOR.
The socialists meanwhile got a charismatic leader...
Like they did in History.
We finished our commerce research...
...and started focusing on the Navy once more.
Whatever happened to the war? Well, after a year of getting laughed at by every European politician around the world and a fruitless attempt to take Kenya...
...and that was the end of it.
This triggered the event which put us below the infamy limit again. (of which I screwed up and failed to get a picture, but basically it reads as "Germany stands triumphant").
Conquistadors are alive and well in Spain.
*British battleship captains start to wonder about their armour"
There was a new election...
...And the Social Democratic Party won it.
We promptly enacted a 10 hour workday limit.
Hmmm. Our western border...
...looks quite bulgy. But we need to wait a bit more due to infamy - if we create a casus belli now and are discovered, we are right above the limit again. And we also need to reconquer Galicia Lodomeria as there are Germans living there.

Sadly no. I can only see overall score.Highlord Laan wrote:Are you able to see the advances made by other nations? Just how far ahead of the historical curve are you?
As for the historical curve, way behind in Naval tech, about the same in Army tech and ahead in Commerce, culture and Industry.

Re: [Vic2 LP] How Bismarck got his herring - game thread
My apologies for the very late update, I was very busy the past few weeks.
The years of peace
Our nation needs a strong Navy.
We started researching steel steamers....
...and invented the Brown Water School, prioritizing - as in OTL - armor over speed and guns.
Banks need monitoring lest they become tyrants.
We enacted trinket subsidies. Now people with no job could at least afford bread to go with the rat meat.
Our troop deployments in the west - now at full strength again.
GERMANY WILL BE THE FIRST TO THE POLE.
Of course the people of Schleswig should be Germans.
Historical note: Did you know that one beloved race of German pigs resulted from this? The Danish Protest Pig is real and tasty. Seriously, this has to be the smartest form of protest ever.
Germans with motorized infantry. Hmmm.....now if only we could find some word for using it....maybe Flashwar?
Of course we will join such an organization.
Steel steamers were now the norm in our Navy...
which allowed us to to take one of the great German national decisions.
AWESOME. Tremble before the power of this fully operational shipyard, Britishers
We then dedicated more resources to commerce research....
...and enacted strict pollution controls.
Meanwhile, the Japanese were in trouble.
The Russians had started attacking them.
So...the people who just demanded from us the complete surrender and dismemberment of our Empire want to ally with us? You can imagine the laughter this caused. Have fun with the Russians, fools.
Meanwhile, in South America...
Chile was quickly becoming the dominant power in South America.
Time-saving measures and a view of the new four Korps created to keep Serbia in check.
We decided to further research commerce.
The fat cat speaks the truth.
More commerce, more efficiency. More power for Germany.
A look at Europe, with few changes.
Askaris. Marvellous.
BTW, there is a cool story about the Askaris. Germany, unlike other colonial powers (France), paid its soldiers pensions. After WWII it was decided to pay them out again. The problem was that due to the wars all records had been lost and the former soldiers had not kept their discharge papers either. So the local consul decided to solve this with an unconventional measure. He had every claimant led into a room, handed him a broomstick and ordered him to perform the German manual of arms while he barked out commands in German. Not a single one failed this test. Over time, a community of ex-Askaris formed around the Consul's villa, as his wife would cook regular meals for them and provide for their families. This practice continued until her death as she settled permanently there.
Greece. Greece never changes.
Russia won a total victory in the Russo-Japanese War, annexing one of the three main islands of Japan.
We had no such concerns. In fact, we increased the minimum wage to keep our workers wealthy and happy.
Destroyers. Perfect for our narrow waters of the Baltic and Adriatic.
And so, with the first Flottengesetz a major expansion of the German Navy was ordered.
120 destroyers were laid down. (Yes, the game models destroyers as monitors.) BTW, did you know that it was the Spanish Navy which pioneered the use of destroyers first?
Hmmm...maybe we shall build a few of those as well. But right now, only DD building.
With our research into management strategies done...
...we researched more naval tech.
I am loving those quotes.
France, bringing the values of liberty, egality and fraternity to people who never asked for them.
The French are winning the scramble for africa....
...together with the Spanish, who got the other part of Ethiopia and grabbed a huge piece of Somalia. The Conquistadors are alive and well.
However, none of that was of grave concern to us.
For we were focusing on the things that made us great in the first place - technology and industry.
TL, DR:
- Russia won the Russo-Japanese war
- France annexed Ethiopia
- We started the first part of constructing a major, modern War Fleet.
I think we next need to look a bit at Africa, can't let the French and Spanish grab everything there.

It lives! And to think I was on the verge of sending you a polite-but-firm-and-vaguely-accusatory OM asking about this
As for Africa, hmm, does it really matter if France can grab a bunch of land down there? You have a very powerful army only, what, a hundred miles, if that, from Paris?

Well, to be honest, Africa is more a matter of prestige. Also, when (not if, it is basically a given at this point) France, Spain and Russia combine to attempt to crush us again, I'd rather have some more places where they need to deploy troops.

To the Pole....oh got it is cold there.
Ironically, this mirrors the real-life results of the German Polar Expedition.
We finally moved to a more fair method of counting votes.
A look at the Great Powers. Note the great chinese horde - a great power with no industry, even less prestige but massive amounts of cannon-fodder. I hope they never join forces with Russia....
We added the Ottoman Empire to our sphere of influence.
...and finally moved on to Proportional representation, making our nation the first in the world to do so. All hail Democratic Germany.
More advances in Naval tech were made.
Despite the objections by the military, we moved to a one-year draft. Why? Because mobilized armies tend to matter less and less as the game goes on (it is crazy, I know, but that is how it works as they changed mobilization schedules. Previously, you could instantly mobilize. Now, however, it would take us over a year to mobilize all our forces and by that time a war is most likely decided already).
Germans and submarines....nothing bad can ever come out of this, right?
Less work makes for more efficient work. German workers now work the least in the world, yet we still maintain a production edge over the USA, which still has unlimited workdays. Capitalism.
Yeah, how dare you complain?
Our naval supply network will stretch the globe. Hmmm....wonder what happens when you combine that with submarines?
We focused more on naval tech....
...with the end result that our Navy became the most modern in the world.
With that accomplished, we decided to focus on culture - more precisely, art. Germany will become a beacon of civilization.
Spot on, old boy.
KULTURNATION DEUTSCHLAND.
Oh, those whacky Habsburgs. And you think Prussians had a reputation for bad bureaucracy....
Of course Transdanubia shall be integrated. ANCIENT GERMAN LAND.
We finally reached the final stage of colonization. Now we could colonize everything. Everything? Yes, Everything.
We promptly started grabbing the rest of Tanganyika.
...and grabbed Deutsch Südwestafrika (nowadays Namibia, also the site of the first German genocide. Horribly sickening stuff and you can also still find fields of human bones bleeching in the sand in some parts.NSFW video)
Our workers did not only work the least, they now also earned the most. Oh noes, how will we ever afford this? Well, turns out that our industry can handle this just fine.
A newspaper. Finally. The Sikh insult us. What will we ever do?
1900
As the new century opened, we researched more Kultur and then switched to...
...mass politics.
Charles Darwin, I love you.
The Netherlands jumped into the action and grabbed Dahomey (the orange part)
Beep-Beep.
Vesuvius erupted again? Holy crap. Clearly a sign of the gods that Italy shall become German.
CITADEL HIT. DEVESTATING STRIKE (sorry, too much World of Warships recently).
That's right, our liberty is essential to all things.
Damn. Another expedition was sent out again of course.
Yeah, let's not start the next war over some shithole in africa, please.
Besides, our new colonies were ready, so we had enough territory in Africa anyways.
End of this update - a bit short, but the next one will be larger.

What do your ambassadors keep doing to get slapped by foreign ministers? Are they performing some Teutonic dance or something?

You have to really go out of your way to get a Sikh to slap you. What did your Ambassador do?

Is that.....a German Minority being oppressed?
With their victory over Japan in the Russo-Japanese war, Russia expanded over the Pacific.
Creating colonies in New Guinea and the Caroline Islands.
Of course we accepted. Olympics in Berlin are the best thing to demonstrate our athletic superiority.
As our citizens enjoyed new forms of art, the new century started right.
That is, until the French decided to give us an especially shitty christmas present.
On Heiligabend, they announced to the news that their expedition had been the first to reach the North Pole and that the German expedition had failed.
How I imagine the French felt after ruining the German christmas:
Lessons were learned. Alternative plans needed to be made.
And better health care too.
While the old year ended on a disappointing note, the new year started with a bang:
We promptly started making a bigger diamond-studded crown than the English.
And then, 1.5 months later, this happened:
OTTO HAHN BEST PHYSICIST IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
The Hereros were finally colonized.
This ended the scramble for Southern Africa, with everything having been divided like this:
Spanish and British definitely got more than we did, but we managed to grab the OTL Territories and Kenya. Not bad, I say. Of course, the real surprise here were the Spanish.
We invented mass politics and then decided to research another culture tech.
We entered a new age of philosophical thinking.
Lenin and Heavy-caliber guns. Maybe one can combine the two....
With the more important South Africa having been colonized, Spain and France turned their attention to North Africa.
Meanwhile, a very short war saw our partner, the Ottoman Empire, kick the teeth in of those unruly serbs that had attacked us in the past.
Britain, meanwhile, continued its conquest of Indian satrapies who had dared to modernize.
Yeah, who knew diamonds could be beneficial to the local economy? What a shocker.
Britain gonna Britain.
Yes. Regional trade is good trade.
We sent a delegation to the world fair....
....but as the other great powers hated our guts we did not have much success.
In revenge we absolutely demolished their athletes at the Olympics.
The news. The Boers in Transvaal loved us. Canada and the USA are close to war again. Siam is flexing its muscles. And thanks to us doing the same, a crisis was averted.
Russia became the second country in the world (after us) to enact women's suffrage. I guess with how many males they lost to our machine guns this was just a matter of time.
Shades of Santa Anna.
See, having Kenya is good for our prestige. And apparently Belgians really, really like to shoot Lions.
A network of military oilers and colliers was finally set up.
Britain fears us and takes it out on Bhopal.
Sopron converted from a majority Hungarian ethnicity to a majority German ethnicity due to our wise citizenship policies.
We decided to do away with the draft as we had more volunteers than we needed. Let other nations force their citizens to fight for them, they will be no match for our professional troops.
France threw its weight around and made Siam her bitch.
Britain did the same to Bhopal.
We meanwhile decided to press the former Austrian claim on the former Austrian Land of Galicia-Lodomeria, which after all contained a sizable Austrian German minority.
They were protected by Romania and Japan. Good, for we had some issues left to settle with all of them.
The Galicians made a stand at Lvov, having dug in for 21 days and erected massive ditches.
Nevertheless, we broke through for we had more bodies to throw at them than they had people to replenish their losses.
Soon, the Galician Army had ceased to exist.
The news did not even care for those events, to occupied with the masked vigilante running wild in German called catman.
We decided to press the claim to the former Austrian lands of Moldavia, which Romania had grabbed when we had annexed Austria.
Still, there was enough time left for technology.
While we were crushing Romania, Russia and Finland declared war on us, seeking to exploit the current situation.
Italy soon followed suit as it recognized that we had shifted troops to the east to counter the Russians.
As did France.

The Great War of 1902 - Opening moves
"What is commonly known today as the great war of 1902 were in actuality three different wars, yet because all enemies of Germany cooperated with each other it is often called one war, like the 30 years war of 1618-1648." - German history textbook, 1965.
After the initial shock, the three Korps in Northern Italy were ordered to enter into delaying actions and attack smaller armies while not trying to engage the two Italian main forces. At the same time, A general mobilization was called and Germans flocked to the reserve units.
Those harrying actions turned out to be more successful than initially thought of. The main reasons for that were the newly-completed German forts and the low morale and bad equipment of the Italian Army.
At the same time, in the east, the Romanians proved to be unable to stop the German advance. The goal here was to quickly knock Romania out of the war.
On November 28th, all resistance in Galicia had been crushed and Galicia had surrendered. It now again was an Austrian German province.
As usual, the Russians poured into Eastern Prussia. This time however, they were met with units quickly pulled from the Romanian and Galician fronts and their advance was checked.
If things went not as expected for the Russians, they went worse for the French. For the Reich had not pulled a single soldier out of the western territories.
The Battle of Metz turned into a bloody disaster for the French Army.
In the east, German forces pushed into Lithuania. The hope was to quickly knock Russia out of the war in order to prevent their full mobilization. This however proved to be a bad idea as the German forces got bogged down in winter conditions and Russian fortifications.
On December 15th, Spain declared war.
The war scores, along with the max numbers of military power.
On December 26, we gave the French a bad christmas present - Operation Cannae.
Of 9 Korps with a total of 324.000 men, we detached 3 Korps to enter French territory and cut the supply lines. Then the other six units moved down from the North to encircle the French Army in Franche-Comte.
After taking 27k casualties within a single day and with their army being encircled and nearing destruction, the French Government quickly sued for peace.
We took some Caribbean and Pacific beaches from them. Not worth a lot - a total of 5 warscore points - but we needed those troops in the east and south. The French also allowed us use of their rail network to give the Italians a nasty surprise.
A true reformer was chosen to head up the war cabinet.
Britain gonna Britain.
The Russians had tried a counterattack in East Prussia and were now repulsed.
A look at the wars and warscores.
Our troops sent from France....
...announced their arrival in grand fashion. Granted, they took far worse casualties against the Italian trenches, but they prevailed and pushed the Italians back.
The situation in our colonies wasn't that great however as whatever defence we had in place quickly collapsed.
UT VENIANT OMNES.
"Vladimir Gurko" was quickly becoming shorthand for "getting pushed back".
Meanwhile, on behalf of the British, the Dutch and Danes had declared war on us.
Some might say this was not a spectacularly smart idea.
On June 22 the situation was as follows:
The italian front (see those three Korps in the west? Those are the ones I transported from France via French railroads to smash into Lombardia)
The Romanian front:
Sadly this one was a failure. Not only did we fail to knock Romania out of the war (due to withdrawing troops when the English attacked us to deal with Denmark and the Netherlands) we also failed to prevent the russians pushing into Moldavia.
At the Prussian front, a massive Rusisan counterattack had necessitated the withdrawal out of Lithuania (where we were not making much progress anyway) and a massive Russian push was now occurring towards Warsaw.

(continued from above)
The Great War of 1902 - The Grand Slaughter
A decision was made to focus on Italy first so that we could use the nearly 700k soldiers engaged on that front elsewhere.
Treacherous Danes got theirs.
....Damn. Remember that massive Qing horde I talked about? How the Qing were a great power despite having 0 industry and less than 100 prestige? Guess what. They got 2000 army points. And now that Horde was walking through Russia to get to us.
France however had a great idea.
"We will help you, if you win we get Savoie."
"Well, great deal."
This brought Belgium into the war, but who cared?
Apparently though the French decided to let us do all the fighting. How very nice. (Well, they did keep England busy in the colonies, but they were nearly worthless on the continent - though no wonder seeing as how I had smashed their forces).
Better healthcare for a fighting nation.
In October, our Eastern Front was close to collapsing as the British sent 200k troops out of India to join the Russian army. We had to give up occupied Romania and retreat even out of Transsylvania to avoid encirclement. Thankfully, winter brough an end to the fighting for some time.
The Battle of Öresund - "Damn Torpedoes"
The British decided that they would reinforce the Russian Baltic Front and also blockade us. To that end they sent their mighty fleet of no less than 88 capital ships and 87 cruisers, destroyers, frigates etc. Those were guarding a massive troop convoy - 52 vessels with a total of 156k men from Britain.
It was obvious that this needed to be opposed and the Öresund, with its narrow waters, was perfect ground for that. We sent our 120 new destroyers and 25 commerce raiders against this thread.
It was obvious the British were commanded by the guy who proposed this harebrained scheme., for what followed could only be described as the Great British Truthahnschiessen as German destroyers wheeled into attack formation, popped of their torpedoes at the narrow straits of the Öresund and then ran back into the safety of the Harbour defences.
"Let's just run our entire fleet through this even though we know the Germans can concentrate 120+ destroyers against it due to the Kiel channel. What can go wrong?"
Eventually, the British brute-forced the straits but at a heavy cost to them.
For the loss of 39 destroyers and commerce raiders we sunk 29 capital ships, 32 screening vessels and 13 of their transports. Assuming a 50% loss rate among the crews and transported soldiers, the Brits just lost about 60k of sailors and soldiers vs less than 2000 German casualties. While our destroyers were quickly repaired at Kiel, the British had to stay on station with their damaged fleet. And thus, they quickly decided to withdraw, not even bothering to offload their troops. The Baltic was a German sea again.
The German Navy had passed its first test.
By March, the Italian front had collapsed for the Allies. In response, the British landed in the Balkans.
Landing a small force against intact German reserves and with no real possibility of reinforcement and hostile terrain? Where have I heard that one before....
Yup, went as well as can be expected
The French pitched in with an expeditionary corps. Love to stick it to the Brits, eh Frenchie?
While the guns were thundering, Research was also thundering along.
Quantum theory. Niiiice.
With the capture of Oradea, the British force lost its last port and they were stranded in the Balkans.
In order to save their boys, they made a quick peace offer.
This returned our rightful territory of Heligoland to us.
Finally the place where the Deutschlandlied was written would be fully German. And we quickly started expanding the fortifications there in order to have a great bulwark against the Brits should they dare to invade our North Sea again.
With Britain out of the war, Italy collapsed within the next week.
We took Piemonte. The French meanwhile started to conquer Savoie.
The troops from the Italian front now raced eastwards, first starting an offensive against Serbia and Western Ukraine (the other part of Galicia-Lodomeria).
Western Ukraine presented no resistance whatsoever to our forces.
And then, in October, the great Qing Horde arrived.
"Damn, that is a lot of troops."
Over two million Qing soldiers had made the long treck. Over one million survived the march. And now, largely armed with flintlock muskets, the Qing soldiers were throwing themselves against the German machine guns. Yet by their very presence, they caused the eastern front to collapse.
However, they were not quick enough to prevent the total conquest and annexation of Serbia by the forces from the Italian front.
In response, the USA joined the war against us, citing our lust for conquest. That's rich coming from you, Mr. Manifest Destiny.
800k of German soldiers were now ready to engage the 1.5 million Chinese and Russian soldiers arrayed against them. It would be a glorious slaughter.
(continued below)

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood

The Great War of 1902: An anticlimactic ending
"A great palace has been found at Knossos, with wonderful tablets and art. We now return you to your regularly scheduled war update".
The Northern Front finally pushed through the Russian lines and conquered Lithuania.
In October, the Italians of freshly conquered Piemonte revolted, necessitating the postponement of the offensive against the Chinese as 100k troops were sent to quell the rebellion.
A look at the war scores. See that -39 the Qing got? That is almost solely due to attrition from the Long March through Russia and all the small battles where they sent score of 20k or so against our fortresses, who we then gobbled up with our mobile armies. Finally, on the 26th of October we started our offensive against the Qing Forces in Brest-Litovsk. Poor Qing, having no winter gear and their best pieces of artillery still being Bronze cannons. After losing 50k troops against 1k of ours, the Qing Empire was offered peace...and they took it.
Thus endeth the greatest paper tiger in recent memory.
The Swedes tried to joint their fleet with the Russian Baltic fleet, but they were intercepted and destroyed by our destroyers.
Shameless plug: I had the opportunity to read some of his work. Amazing scholar.
In November, a last-ditch Russian offensive into Lithuania was repulsed.
In December, the last battlefield of the Western Front was decided, as Belgium fell.
We took Wallonia from them. Now Russia no longer had any allies in Western Europe except for Spain.
We enacted another reform. Now our unemployed no longer have to fear for their food if they get unemployed. They still have to fear for their home, however. But still, progress.
...yeah, you know what I think of Spengler.
France got Savoie, what they wanted and then dropped out of the war altogether. In exchange for the lives of 30k soldiers and three pacific islands as well as Guayana they got some of the riches coal mines of Europe and thus they considered themselves a winner. And honestly, it is hard to argue with that.
Fund insurrectionists in Piemonte? We will fund a railroad to Baghdad. How you like that, Britain?
On July 26th, 1905, the army of General der Infanterie Nikolaus von Blumenthal reached the outskirts of St. Petersburg.
We finished culture research and decided to do some economic research.
On October 6, 1905, St. Petersburg surrendered.
The lands of the former Teutonic Order were now under German rule again.
The Russians promptly switched their capital to Moscow.
Good healthcare for good, well-behaving citizens.
With the Russians out of the war, the positions of the Japanese in Romania became untenable.
They surrendered.
Mass advertising was invented. "BUY GERMAN GOODS. GERMAN GOODS GUT QUALITY. GERMAN GOODS SUPERIOR TO BRITISH GOODS."
And our Reichskanzler made a rousing speech to the nation, outlining the war aims. With Spain being the only continental enemy - but us having no border to them - our resources were now employed in a massive shipbuilding program in order to be able to fight the US and the Spanish Empire.
Another great scholar.
With the land war cooling down and our land forces demobilized, life returned to semi-normalcy, including the presentation of Princess Viktoria-Louise of Hohenzollern to the populace as the designated heir.
The following year of war was of little note. US ships would occasionally try to blockade us but quickly flee when confronted by our destroyers. meanwhile, we were building ships and troops.
San Francisco was struck by an earthquake. Poor people.
Finally, our transport program was complete and a massive German fleet, composed of 59 modern steam transport squadrons and 108 destroyers was assembled at Wilhelmshaven, where 177k elite troops were embarked and set sail for the caribbean.
Now unemployed can afford to pay rent.
I do admire Keynes.
More economic research was ordered.
Spain decided that the war was pointless and offered a white peace, which we accepted.
The British established the Australian Dominion. Good for them.
This war needs to end soon or the populace will be suffering. We need access to the US markets and we can't afford to wage this global commerce raiding warfare anymore. Our ships need to be able to trade freely.
And so, after having refueled in our Caribbean bases, we started what became known as the Great German Raid. On September 27, 1907, almost two years after land war in Europe had ended, our fleet sailed for the US shore and landed our troops at Baltimore.
Leading the forces were the 1. Gardearmee, composed of the various guard units of the German Empire, its kingdoms and principalities.
Showing the Brits how to do it properly, Fort McHenry was taken after a quick artillery bombardement.
The road to Washington was open - and because the USA had not mobilized, feeling secure due to the great ocean, they only had 75k soldiers to oppose us. This number had dwindled down to 59k after two days of combat and with artillery shells landing on the lawn of the White House, the USA had enough.
We accepted.
With the rebellious Italians surpressed and deported, there was once more peace in Europe.
On November the 3rd, 1907, exactly 5 years, 3 months and 20 days after the war had started, the guns were silent all over the globe.
Being German, we promptly started a census to register the new demographics of our nation.
