I seriously could not care less about that wankfest of overpaid actors...

I don't really care at all. If some thing I like wins, that's good. But frankly they're so divorced from the opinions of normal people that I find it hard to even care at all.

I care about the Oscrs only because it is considered to be a measure of a movie's quality "out there". I mean, fuck, some people think that the movie recieving the best movie of the year IS the best movie of the year.

I care more about the Cannes film festival.

Have a very nice day.

I only watched to hope that Michael Moore would win and give an awesome speech. Was well worth watching him go on to win.

Other than that, didn't pay attention.

Spirited Away won, which was a suprise to me, but other than that, I didn't watch it. I had other things I'd rather be doing.

The first and only time I saw the Oscars was when I was seven years old and in the hospital. I couldn't sleep and there was nothing else on. At the time, after the stomach pains and many needles and lower G.I. and more needles, I decided that the Oscars was the worst part of my stay.

I just lounged around during Saturday night and when I saw the rest of my folks watching it, I said to myself, "Dave, this time's as good as any to stay up and throw stuff at the TV". As for the stupid political stuff, I cheered when they stopped midway throught the show. As for the musical numbers, I pressed a little button called "mute".

The "Oscars" was the last of the award shows for me to give up on. Because I still watch movies I sometimes get hooked into watching the Oscars but most of the time I try to avoid them because it's become more and more obvious that the voters are smoking crack.

I gave up on music award shows a long time ago. The last time I enjoyed one of those was when Metallica opened the Grammys with Enter Sandman. Natalie Cole's expression was priceless  Otherwise the majority of the music I listen too is either older or not mainstream enough to get enough notice for award shows. Movies haven't alientated me to that extent, although most of the time I'm lucky to have seen even one of the nominees for best picture. It's generally a fluke if a movie I like appears there. As it becomes more obvious that the voters have been falling for Oscar advertising (Shakespear In Love, A Beautiful Mind) I've become less interested in their awards.

One thing somewhat fun about the Oscars is to compare past nominees and winners. It works best with the movies and songs. When you look at those and notice that you haven't even heard of the winner but still see/hear one of the runner ups all the time...that's probably the one that should have won.

I don't watch them. Watching all those hacks jerk off to their own shit is not my idea of entertainment.

These are the fucking people who thought 'Shakespeare in Love' was the best movie of an entire year.

I don't care about who wins or who was nominated and especially don't care about who was there and who gave the the winner the sculpture and what stupidity he said....

...and I don't care wether Michael Douglas has "ironed" his face again or not and wether he sits in the first row or not!!!

That's the stupidest show of the world!!!

I'd rather watch five episodes of "Dallas" -with Jockey- then to watch one Oscar-show... :x

(Maybe I was a little overestimating my hatred....Five episodes from "Dallas"... )

I missed the show, but then I read the awards in the paper, and realized that Spirited Away was the only one I cared about.

Oh, and Queen Latifah looked fine in that dress.

Awards shows can suck my ass, especially the Oscars. The actors piss me off with their long-winded and retarded speeches and there's no decent performers on the shows these days. I have more fun watching the weather channel than the Oscars or most other awards shows.

Fucking Oscars. I turn on the telly to watch Fashiontelevision yesterday, but they got Joan Rivers doing her moronic red carpet criticism. I tell ya, seeing her grotesque gorgonic features gave me acid reflux.
