Alright, let's try this again. Who do you want for emperor out of our sd.net populace?
1. YOU MAY NOT VOTE YOURSELF!!!!!
2. You must give clear, serious, and founded reasons for your choice. If you do not, then your post becomes equal to the level of spam and is eligible to be ignored.
3. If you vote for someone that's already been voted, you must provide NEW reasons why that person should be voted, and follow rule 2 along the way.
4. You spam and this thread gets closed by the closest mod within the vincinity.
5. Let's try to retain a somewhat sensible level of seriousness, okay?

It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!!!
It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!!!
You have to provide new reasons if someone else votes for the same person as you? What if you agree with what that person said about who you voted for and covered everything you wanted to say? Then you just can't vote for them? That doesn't make sense.

What's to stop this thread from being lock as opposed to the last one?

Some people got a little carried away and were swept up in their support of certain candidates and started spamming up the thread. The topic itself is fine, I think, provided there are guidelines (as Shin has done this time).Gandalf wrote:What's to stop this thread from being lock as opposed to the last one?

I would vote Lord Wong for the reason that he has so far (to me) shown himself to be logical about things, wont stand for BS, and can carry on a debate...
Racism would be something he wont stand for, and he would actively oppose it in any form. (through whatever means available)

One doesn't vote for Emperor....One takes the position by force, I henceforth announce my candidacy

If I have to vote for someone else thoughit would be Shep. Because there is no one else on this board entertaining enough other than myself. I would have voted for Duchess or Kelly but I think women are unsuited for leadership positions. Not that they aren't qualified mind you but I would fear some sort of anti-male purge.

I vote for Bean.
He's level headed, a good laugh, a fan of Blackadder and we need some way of rewarding him for risking his life going to Iraq ( he did go to Iraq or around there didn't he? )

i vote for stormbringer, he seems to be able to carry an argument without resorting to "dipshit, dickweed" etc, seems to be fairly even handed and knowledgable.
If the curious orange was on, he'd be my emperor, but he's not so stormbringer.

Yeah. They need someone around for slave labor, right?Zaia wrote:Erm...I do hope you are kidding. Anti-male purge? Please.
Ok, bad joke. Anyway, as for emperor... I'd say Stormbringer as well, for the reasons stated above. I haven't seen him resort to pure flames yet,a nd he seems a rational, logical person.
Failing that, Darth Garden Gnome, because he makes me laugh.

I think I'll vote Zaia for the moment. She's nice, which will be good for fairness for all denizens, and she's got a mean streak necessary for hard politics or military action.
Note: I think Zaia has a mean streak. She doesn't seem to show it much, so it's hard to judge on that.

Zaia, for all the reasons mentioned in the last thread (except the fan-fic thing, I'm really sorry about that, it was an honest mistake, please, please, please, please forgive me ).
