Watched 'Rocky 2:' Give me a break
I have a friend that is actually stupid enough to believe that Sylvester Stallone could have taken Hulk Hogan in a fight.
At the time of this movie, Hogan was about 6'7" (I believe), but I know that he weighed about 300 pounds. Stallone is freggin midget. He stands about 5'8" (if that) but I am not sure of his weight.
Now, having Tae Kwon Do training, I know a bit about combat and I am going to say that there is no stinking way that Stallone would have taken Hogan in a fight. Even if wrestling is fake, you have to know how to do it in order to fake it.

If stallone can actually move, then he might be able to avoid getting completely crushed by Hogan, at least for a while. But for some reason, I just don't see Hogan being able to "Hulk up" after taking a few hard rights to the jaw.

Maybe not "Hulk up" but with a neck that size, it's going to take quite a few hard punches to put that guy to sleep. Have you ever tried to choke out someone with neck column like that? I have. When I would spar with some of the Judo practitioners in my school, I would use some of the chokes they taught me. If you have a neck like that you're going to be pretty damn hard to put to sleep, and if your opponent weighs 100 pounds less than you, it's going to be damn near impossible.
Stallone's size disadvantage might actually work to his favor. He's small enough that he could easily punch Hogan in the nuts, and then it's all over. If Stallone can use his quickness to stay out of range and then move in to whack Hogan in the nuts, he's got it won. Unfortunately it's a lot easier said than done, but it's possible.
Also note that Tie Domi is arguably the best fighter there is in Hockey, and he's also one of the smallest guys in that sport. Domi has beaten the crap out of damn near everyone in the league, so size ain' everything. Being a smaller guy Domi can get under his opponents and wail away with vicious uppercuts to put them down, I'd think that Stallone can also do the same thing to Hogan. In any case it'll be a good fight.

Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

Wasn't Hogan actually in Rocky III ?
That brings to mind. Would Stallone actually be able to beat Carl Weathers or Mr. T? I'm thinking, no. I certainly don't think he'd ever be faster than Carl Weathers, even on sand.
Anyway, I think Hogan would take him. Other than a cripling blow to the crotch or some carelessness on Hogans part and Stallone will end up being crushed. I really wouldn't want to fight anyone who could pick me up and toss me around as easily as Hogan was doing to Stallone in Rocky III.

Actually, it was Rocky 3. The Hulk/Stallone match was an exhibition, pitting the heavyweight champions of wrestling and boxing against each other. Rocky didn't win the championship until the end of Rocky 2, and the wrestling/boxing match happened in the beginning of Rocky 3. Mr. T. was the boxing challenger later in the movie.Gandalf wrote:That was Mr T in Rocky 3Tsyroc wrote:Wasn't Hogan actually in Rocky III ?

Anyways, in a more or less enclosed space like a boxing ring, between two combatants who are basically brawlers in terms of their combat knowledge, you might as well take the big guy, and Hogan is freakin' huge.
