R2. Sure, he's made mistakes, but all real slicers have the same problem.

R2 and Ghent as a team would just be enough to keep me happy if they were on my side, and scare the shit out of me if I had to defend a network against them.

The only other person I would consider would be Sir Horace Harkness. He's got a combination of slicing skills and just plain ornery deviousness. He pretended to betray his own people to gain access to a computer, took enough control of a spaceship to break his old crew out of the brig, and shut down their sensors long enough to escape in two shuttles and rig a pinnace to destroy the ship. And he considered all that boring.

The Dark is right (if Webers Harrington univers is allowed):

Brains, undercover agent class acting skills, skilled in slicing, smuggling, hand to hand, weapon systems test piloting.
An perfect allround security officer (or worst enemy) for sure.
(well ... warrent officer anyway)

R2-D2 all the way!!

And of course, my second choice would be Sir Horace Harkness, of course. Thank you The Dark for reminding me about him. Few can beat that kind of all round skill.

Isn't there a rule about not bumping up old threads?
