Actually, I take that back - the Bengals were only mostly responsible for that. It looks like Pacman Jones shoved a Steelers coach, but the clips I've seen had said coach getting in his face and grabbing his arm first.

The Seahawks have horseshoes up their asses. I'm not sure how else to explain how they managed to win.

Yeah, the Texans played like shit and the Bungles got what they deserved (much as I dislike the Steelers), so their losses feel justified. Same with Washington--they played like...well, NFC East champs and got their asses handled to them by a halfway decent football team. Again, a loss that makes sense.

Wide left on a 26-yard chipshot, though...man, shades of the Cundiff in the AFC championship game a few years back. That just bloooooows.

Reminds me of the Nate Kaeding field goal miss from back in 2009, in a Chargers-Jets game in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Burfict got a 3 game suspension. Expected and appropriate, of course, but it does highlight how utterly ineffective the current system of fining players is. If you want the fine to mean something, you really need to make it hurt. Burfict (and other players) does not give a shit about a $25K fine. Maybe they should make the standard fine a player's game check--if, all of a sudden, you're playing for free, you might actually be inclined to rein it in.

Talk about having horseshoes up your ass, Jesus Christ. 2 successful Hail Mary's in a season?

They should make the Cardinals and Packers play each other in the playoffs every year.

What an ending to a game! Two successful hail marys and a game won on a fucking shovel pass.

The Panthers did their manly best to choke away a 31-point lead, but failed. I guess the Seahawks will have to wait til September before they can try to crash another kneel-down formation.

Now I only need the Patriots to lose next week and it is the 2nd most perfect timeline.

Considering how often Seattle gets breaks from the Zebras, how they pretty much threw the Superbowl due to wanting douchebag Russell Wilson to have the glory over the NFL's player in league crosshairs for petty bullshit of the season Marshawn Lynch, and how the entire "12th Man" thing was flagrantly stolen from Texas A&M (it's sad when you have to rip off Texas things ever), I humbly suggest that she be catapulted as far out to sea as is possible. And if she makes it back to land, we burn her as a witch.

WBAY
Packers reach out to fan beaten outside Portland bar

The Green Bay Packers are reaching out to a fan who’s recovering in a Portland, Oregon, hospital after being brutally beaten Saturday. His family says the attack was unprovoked and started by his love for the Green and Gold.

Like many of us here, 26-year-old Sam Whitehorn has been a Packers fan his whole life. So he was wearing a Packers hat Saturday night, right after the Packers lost a playoff game to the Arizona Cardinals.

Friends and relatives say he was outside of Muu Muu’s bar, wearing the hat, when a small group of Seattle Seahawks fans began giving him a hard time, and then they started hitting him.

“Three men came up and one of them assaulted him, punched him in the face, knocked him out, which caused him to hit the back of his head on the curb of the sidewalk causing a severe hemorrhage. He was bleeding out of his ear and his nose,” his girlfriend, Bridget Kitson, told our sister station KOIN.

According to his GoFundMe page, Whitehorn suffered a fractured skull, concussion and brain hemorrhage. He needed emergency surgery and is now in the neurotrauma ICU at a Portland hospital.

“The side of his brain that ‘finds words’ is injured, so he has trouble calling things by their correct name,” his mother, Kelly Whitehorn, wrote on his GoFundMe page. “Part of his skull was removed, so he will have to wear a helmet for weeks or months until his next surgery.”

The Green Bay Packers gave this statement to Action 2 News Friday afternoon:

The Green Bay Packers were saddened to learn of the senseless attack on Sam Whitehorn last weekend. We have been in touch with Sam’s family and have heard from many of the concerned friends and send the organization’s best wishes for a quick and full recovery.”

Portland Police Bureau is investigating the assault. Officers can’t confirm if it was his Packers beanie that sparked the confrontation.

So far no one is in custody.

I almost got into a fight at a fucking Wal-Mart when some drunk asshole in a Seahawks hat took issue with my Buccaneers hat about 6 years ago, and that's when the Seahawks couldn't even get into the playoffs. They really are sore ass losers, since all those 12th Man flags I saw everywhere over the past month suddenly disappeared last Monday.

I do have to give Bwaaaady and Belicheat some credit for not storming off the field before the kneeldown, but actually going out to mid-field and having an actual conversation with Manning. Hell, Belicheat even hugged Manning (which I imagine is what the cold touch of death feels like).

Other than that, suck it Cheatriots! I slit your throats and piss on the faces of your corpse! Was that over the top?

No wonder they play the Superman theme every time Cam Newton scores:

Two weeks in a row he looks like the older kid those cheater little league coaches put on the field against hapless 11-year-olds.

Carson Palmer had 4 picks and 2 lost fumbles. Holy crap!!!

He wasn't the only Cardinal to have a bad game but that is seriously bad.

It must be especially hard when you have the worst game of your career during the biggest game of your career. I mean, I imagine that these players all understand that they're going to have bad days, but oof. You hope it's when you're playing Jacksonville in week 12, or something.

I think he might just develop some sort of complex about being in Playoff Games. So far he's had, suck but pull it out in the end, really suck, and get your knee seriously fucked up early in the game... and your team loses.
