They should have given them jetpacks or something, if they wanted the Inquisitors to have superior mobility. The "roflcopters" were so dumb. Did they change Asohka's appearance between her first appearance in Rebels and her more recent ones?

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
I've been watching this show "Rebels" for a while and one thing bugs me—don't they ever change their clothes? Every one of them wears the exact same outfit in every episode! You would think the Rebellion could spring for a couple of different extra outfits for them at least!
Of course I know the real reason is it's easier to just use the same models for animation purposes, but I'd love to know the in universe explanation, if there is one.

I'd say this holds true for practically every animated series, (CGI or otherwise): http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... edWardrobe
We also never see a bathroom or shower, so should we assume they never poop or wash? It's just something many shows like to gloss over...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Yeah seriously, they have a budget and your talking about changing the clothes of the main characters vs animation an extra enemy type or major background artwork, I know I'd rather have the later options.
It might not be obvious but you can't just drop a new skin onto the characters the the way you animate shows like this. The skins are tied to specific animation rigs and those have to be carefully crafted and edited to be flexible enough to be useful. Videogames make changing skins easy, but that's precisely because they only use a limited and preset number of animations over and over again in a loop. This is why even high budget movies that cost an actual 1.5 million dollars US a minute generally avoid costume changes (certainly they won't change each morning!). Its serious actual money to do it and look good. I can't say I like Rebels, too Y7 focused plain and simple, but it looks so much better then 99% of shows did a few years ago. Kids the last few years are being spoiled by this, heck a 15 years ago we'd have thought this looked really good in theaters, at least as far as the main characters go.
I have no doubt everyone making the show would love to make everyone change cloths, have dirt, sweat ect... budget will not allow this for a show that basically exists to sell toys. Which is a pity, if they went for a broader audience they might be able to justify a much higher budget but Disney is keeping its options open for adult focused Star Wars TV content. I suspect we'll just have to wait another decade until the CGI gets cheap enough to do near movie quality Star Wars on a TV budget with live action. The impossibility of doing this right now seems to have been a very major reason why Lucas sold in the first place. He didn't want to be trapped in a couple movie scripts, and TV just isn't possible yet, and he's no longer young.

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
it's quite telling that Hera's hospital outfit is just her regular one colored blue, but then it's not that odd that people on the run or in the military have only handful of outfits, it's not like you go outside wearing different coat everytime. As for rebellion giving them extra outfits I suspect there's more pressing logistical issues then extra outfits.
So if you want an in universe explanation rebellion having logistical issues extra outfits (except possibly for underwear which we don't see anyway) is a low priority, we got to remember that rebellion is short on even the Essentials like fuel, personal and possibly even food and medical supplies so it seems unlikely that they'd have a bunch of unused outfits just gathering dust in a crate.

I just chalk it up to the possibility that they have ultra-fast washing and drying machine. If clothes could be clean and dry faster than a person showering, probably less of a need to get different set of clothes. Espeically when you are on the run.

Sucking all the air out of a room, while keeping it warm enough so that the water doesn't freeze, seems like it would dry anything in the room quite effectively.ray245 wrote:I just chalk it up to the possibility that they have ultra-fast washing and drying machine. Re: Star Wars: Rebels
They might just be like me and have multiple outfits of the exact same description. If you find a look that works for you there is very little reason not to just buy several of those and be set for life.
It has become clear to me in the previous days that any attempts at reconciliation and explanation with the community here has failed. I have tried my best. I really have. I pored my heart out trying. But it was all for nothing.
You win. There, I have said it.
Now there is only one thing left to do. Let us see if I can sum up the strength needed to end things once and for all.

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
At the very least, they could mix up the colors and textures of the clothing they have already modeled for the characters. Other things that would make sense would be depicting Kanan, Ezra, and Sabine, while just casually hanging around the ship, not wearing their armor pieces...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Those are people on the run with very little resources. They probably don't have the time nor money to go clothes shopping. They get clothes that work, maybe two sets or three to have spares, and be done with it. Look at the movies. How many different sets of clothes did people wear there?
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Well, a few sets, and they were visually distinct; There was Luke's Tatooine farmhand outfit, his Rebel pilot outfit, his award ceremony outfit, his Hoth outfit, his Dagobah/Bespin outfit, his Endor outfit, etc.
But if they were going for a worn/limited resources look, they could add some repairs/patches to the outfits, perhaps a stain here or there, etc. And them wearing the armor pieces 24x7 doesn't make sense, either.

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
ANYWAY....
This two parter was amazing. We saw the return of Malachor(though it looked nothing like Malachor V), Darth Maul(who is still evil, if a lot wiser than before), the death of at least two Inquisitors, though I wonder if the third one survived his fall, and Ahsoka finding out the truth about Vader.
Ahsoka's compassion seemed to make him hesitate for a minute, but that ended and his drive to kill continued. It'll be another decade before he's able to break off the ways of the Sith.
The third inquisitor's identity was never revealed. Think it might be someone we know?

The show knows how to do scale of huge things better than The Force Awakens does, see the shots of them on the surface in the apparently empty crater.

Secondhand sources say Filloni said Eighth survived the fall, but got petrified by the weapon going off in a cut scene. Maul was on a lower level, so he got away and was able to claim Eighth's TIE.

Unlikely. The species is of the type that stole Ahsoka's lightsaber in TCW, and that one was female. AFAIK no male members of that species have been characters of note (until now, at least ).FaxModem1 wrote:The third inquisitor's identity was never revealed. Think it might be someone we know?
Just like the other Inquisitors, it's highly likely Eighth Brother is just some random slightly-better mook.

Yeah, I don't think there was supposed to be a resolution, they are keeping that one in their pocket for now to pull out later I do believe. They've certainly kept it vague enough to go anyway they want later. So... Booo on them, so very unsatisfying.Thanas wrote:So....wtf happened to Ahsoka at the end?

Re: Star Wars: Rebels
Not to mention flying the Falcon inside of one! They did fine on the physical scale of specific objects. But horrible on scale of the galaxy.Galvatron wrote: I thought the shots of Rey crawling in and out of the derelict star destroyer accomplished that quite well.
I can understand many story/practical and audience = dumb reasons for wanting to keep the scale of the galaxy small, but my solution to that would have been to indicate that the Galaxy had actually being completely trashed by a massive war after the Emperor fell. This would have also made a random Imperial resurgence more plausible and reasonable, in terms of building giant superweapons ect... without being noticed. You be rather less likely to be noticed 99% of the shipyards in the Galaxy got blown up and people are focused on rebuilding. Then the ability to build the weapon would enhance the scale of the galaxy, via implying just how powerful even a tiny bit of it is, rather then seeming asstarded in a situation where yet again somehow the only opposition is a handful of fighters.
But then we do know that The Force Awakens was a rushed project, and fleet battles were mooted for the script but dropped. Rebels being a TV show meanwhile is just going to be budget crippled on this, but I think they did an okay job anyway. The galaxy really should have lots and lots of small random settlements spread around fought over by small forces.
