Yep. Hodgeson did what the pundits though he should do and put people who actually score on up front. Wales defenses held amazingly well though.

The only issue I have with the play order is that because of tournament rules, both their final matches will be simultaneous. As long as neither team loses their final match they'll escape the group stage. Fingers crossed!

That's probably quite a bit of it. The whole "well they're a REALLY HARD team, so all we can do is just try to keep them from scoring and hope we get lucky" sentiment.

The Czech Republic vs Croatia game was pretty crazy, 2-2 as the Czechs came back from 2-0 down to draw level, thanks in part to Croatian fans throwing fucking flares onto the pitch, costing them the win

Right now, Russia is well in its way to being eliminated, being down 2 goals against Wales after the first half of the final game of the preliminary round. Excellent!
