Does TV piss anyone else off?

Does TV piss anyone else off?
Sometimes television really brings out the worst in me. For example, "Friends" always gets on my nerves. I get sick of seeing the same modelesque people on every stupid episode. Could they throw in a character with an acne problem for once? Or maybe an overweight character? God I hate this show, it's an American embarassment.
Some of the commercials piss me off too. How I long to take that drippy, noisy Carl's Junior burger from the guy eating it and screw it up his nose while I have him in a head lock.
Or that Round Table commercial. I really want to kick that fat guy in the nuts and then smear the pizza on his fat disgusting face while he's down, and then yell "here's your fucking pizza, fatzo!"
Then there's Billy Maze. I would throw Oxy Clean into his face to blind him, drop him with a Stone Cold Stunner and yell at the top of my lungs, "it's going to take alot of Oxy Clean to get the blood out of your clothes, asshole!"
Oh yes, and my mortal enemy, Danny Bonaducci. That flaming (I don't mean 'flaming' to knock gay people, just 'flaming' as in stupid) idiot with the red hair that co hosts "The Other Half." I showed you what these guns could do to commercial personalities, now I'll show you what they can do in the ring! Ceasar's Palace, Las Vegas: Superman versus Danny Bonaducci in a no hold's barred fight to the death! Get your tickets now.

For a long time, the Preview channel was my favorite channel. Nice music, no overpaid actors spewing inane prattle, and if anything good is gonna be on one of the other channels I'd know about it. Then they changed it to the TVguide channel, brought in a bunch of fucking humans and stuck them in front of cameras and fucked around with a perfectly good color scheme and design.
Gah. I miss the blue, and the right angles.

If you don't like TV, then don't watch it!
I watch Buffy, manchild, the Simpsons, Friends, and that's about it. I don't see the poitn of watching TV I don't like.

There are reasons that many people - me included - despise ordinary sitcoms but enjoy The Simpsons.

What's a TV? Is it that box thing that has moving pictures of people and stuff?
In all seriousness there's only 4 things that I watch somewhat regularly on TV: Weather channel, Learning Channel, Discovery Channel, and Porn. I'm likely one of the few people in North America who's never watched a full episode of Friends, Seinfeld, or The Simpsons. In fact I can count the number of times I've watched the above shows on 2 hands.

aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me.
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

I basically keep a TV around so I can play my PS2 and watch videos on it. The only television I actually watch is "The West Wing," "Law & Order," and "The Dead Zone."

Would those videos happen to feature naked people humping each other?Zaia wrote:I basically keep a TV around so I can play my PS2 and watch videos on it.

I second that motion. The Weather Channel used to be simpler to in it's Local Forecasts... (still got the nice elevator music though) *sigh*XaLEv wrote:For a long time, the Preview channel was my favorite channel. well, things i watch:
buffy, b5 reruns, monday night comedy on bbc2, and neighbours, my guilty pleasure.
I HATE VEHEMENTLY:
any daytime tv, ESPECIALLY..chat shows...they get me so angry with their constant bleeping, people with their "ethnic attitudes" shouting constantly that someone lies, or their teen is out of control, or that they're fat, or that he aint the father of my child, or rampant shallow body worship.
Ack these shows will give me an ulcer one of these days, they just get me so riled i want to climb inside and sort everyone out. Sort of like the god channel. Music channels overplay good songs...it all makes me sick, bar the few exceptions listed above.
