Would you feel good that such idiocy isn't going to get spread around anymore?

How would you feel? How do you think you should feel?
What an inane question. I don't know if feeling bad is the right way to put it, as that implies that I was to blame, but certainly it would be a bad thing.

Those that belive the Bible is word for Word True/Those that belive the Earth is less than 10k Years old should get most of the hard-cores

The death of a fundie is almost a moot point, isn't it? After all, they're already brain-dead.

I wouldn't feel bad if it were the extremists types that burn Harry Potter books because it promotes witchcraft, or the ones who think that dinosaurs were demons. I would feel bad if it were just the average church person. Some of the fundie girls are pretty damn hot, I think it's just a waste if all of them were to go kapoot.

First, the average creationist isn't a stupid "LALALA Science is the will of the Devil!!!" but a ignorant "Um science? Like that stuff with test tubes?"

Second, being stupid extremists doesn't mean you should die. Not be allowed to brainwash, er "convert" anymore maybe, but not die.

A fundie girl who's hot is a complete waste of time. She's fucked in the head, so you're never going to get anywhere. Just try asking a fundie girl to go down on you, take anal, watch porn, etc.

How much of a fundy was your wife when you first met her? Clearly not that much (heh heh) but she WAS raised by her parents, and we all know about them. Just curious.

The great majority of fundies do not deserve to die. The more vocal, arrogant ones deserve humiliation, yes, but not death.

The only fundies that deserve death are

1. The ones with murderous intentions or violently abusive inclinations.

2. The ones that willingly put themselves in danger to begin with, for stupid (not heroic) reasons.

As for the latter, one of the inspirations for my "T-rex vs fundie" thread was a true incident that happened back in the 1980's, in Australia I think. A man stopped his car in the middle of a drive-through wildlife park ... in the lion section. He got out carrying a bible and a crucifix, intending to pat one of the lions, content that the Lord would protect him just as He protected Daniel ...

I don't need to describe what happened.

When the issue was raised at my year 7 Religious Ed class (in a public school), our subject teacher (a fundamentalist, but of the patient, friendly type who liked to sing us catchy modern hymns as he strummed his guitar) told us: "Thou shalt not put the Lord to the test."

I'd worry that it was the rapture, and that they were right all along. Of course, that's just me.

My biggest fear in life is the Christians being right. :)

She wasn't a fundie at all. She was Christian, but she didn't buy any of that insane literalism bullshit.

I think we're missing something here.

Fundamentalists don't deserve to die. Well, outright, at any rate. They're obviously gullible and will do what we want as long as we make it seem like God told us.

So, fundamentalists should be *subjugated*. Find yourselves a few really smart, good-willed con artists and make them religious leaders. Remember, you can accomplish more with a horde of brainwashed drones than with a country full of idiots you can't do anything about.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

Too true, too true.

My plan for world domination involves hordes of brainwashed drones forming armies in the name of "the holy prophet Alison". So what if I'm an atheist? They don't have to know that.

And they'd make the perfect soldiers - no fear, no insubordination, and I can use the more liberal-minded ones as leaders.

Actually, I think it would be quite sad since - while there are creationists who are narrow-minded idiots - some creationists are very nice people.

There are also such thing as open-minded creationists - such as the Raëlian Movement, who, however, do not believe in God - instead, they believe that we were created in a laboratory by little green men from outer space.

(I'm not joking - read their website!)

I don't follow the Raëlian Movement's crazy doctrines, (which anyway just are rehashings of Erich von Däniken's books) but it's always nice to know that not all creatonists are close-minded.[/url]

Correction: they act nice to your face. Behind your back, they quietly vote for all manner of laws designed to curb your civil liberties.

I have feelings on this on many different levels...deep down, I think that anyone who perposefully plugs their ears and takes the bible as a literal truth contributes nothing to society and I would not mourn their passing.

Towards the middle, I think they're brain-dead idiots and deserve what they got comming.

On the surface....hey anything that cuts the lines down at the post office is okay with me!

Whoops. I meant to type religeous girls, not fundie girls. Got my definitions mixed up. I haven't had an encounter with one before thank " The Great Maker" :D But anyways, point taken in regards to your response. I don't think I want to comment about that 'anal' part right now...... got calculus homework
