It kinda sticks in the throat slightly, given this board's view of the whole religious deal, but I can't think of another way to express what I actually mean, so... Aw, fuck it.
Godspeed, guys and the very best of luck to you and your friends.

Godspeed to the troops that are fighting in Iraq!
(BTW, my Dad is an Air Guard reservist, but, I doubt he will be activated [like he was in GW1] unless this war goes on for a long long time, and even in that, he is a CATM NCO, in other words, he is the one that trains and qualifies troops, or, in his case, SPs, and is part of the Security Police force)

Great idea Kelly!
We should find a way to send a greeting. One of the scrolls on Headline News was mentioning something about that. Wouldn't that just kick Bean and Guyver in the ass to get a 'We Support our FUCKING Troops!' card?!? I'm all for that if we do.

SPeaking of which, there is this big rock out in front of our camps that people usually write on, and get this, 'FU*K YOU IRAQ!!!' and 'FU*K THE LIBERALS!!!' was written on it.
I remind you, this is on a COLLEGE CAMPUS, a place traditionally known for it's anti-war sentiments.

Like I said, we don't get anti war shit like that here. My Am Lit teacher was going on about how he let the TV run the morning of 9-11 for a few mintues then shut if off at class start. heh, wonder what he would do on test day with the walk outs.

Odd, we just had a war 'debate' on my floor. There was an annoucement in the lobby telling everyone of this, and, there were probably 10 people there, including myself.DG_Cal_Wright wrote:Like I said, we don't get anti war shit like that here. I'll let you guess as to how many anti-war people were there...

Then it wasn't a debate, was it? You should try to seek out an intelligent anti-war debater for the purpose of debating the issue with him.Nathan F wrote:Odd, we just had a war 'debate' on my floor. Thing is, unlike on this forum, intelligent anti-war people to debate are few and far between, heck, anti-war people in general are few and far between here...
I seriously wish there was, so I could carry on an intelligent face to face debate, I think it would be quite enjoyable, and, seeing that we would be face to face, could be kept civil.

We had a group of students try to arrange a protest today. Only problem was, they didn't clear it through me first (I'm semi in charge of activity registration). They got shut down real quick. I may be anti-war, but I'm not about to let some idiots make me look bad by protesting without following campus policy. I don't get why the peace groups keep trying to pull all this crap behind my back. I do find out about all of it, and keep having their posters removed (they would have been allowed if they'd asked) and getting kicked out of rooms (which they could have reserved).DG_Cal_Wright wrote:Like I said, we don't get anti war shit like that here. I know a guy who's at CENTCOM, and he says that he could contact people over there, and give them a message if he knew their name, unit, etc...
So if anyone here knows the REAL name of Bean, and the others, I could get him to send a message to them, along the lines of "greetings from SD.net." or whatever.
