I prefer your ears short, actually. Like the way Jim Lee draws you. In fact, a lot of artists seem to draw you that way.
Modern fashion. In the 70s and 80s they could get pretty long. Some crazy stuff in the early 90s.
To each their own. I prefer mddlin long ears (not TOO long, that got ridiculous at times in the comics). I always liked the Burton movie ears.

Actually other than the orginal BTAS the Timmverse ears were middlin long too.

They're pretty puny compared to early 90s Kelley Jones Admittedly it depends on which generation of Timmverse you talk about, first season Timmverse was pretty short but other seasons and shows got longer.

This is WONDER WOMAN thread, not Batman. If you wanna discuss him, take it elsewhere.

Is that to imply the scene of her standing there, shield up, is basically her being lucky enough to not get her knee blown off?

I do have one minor worry- isn't WW only a step down from Superman? That is to say do any of those guys she's carving up really pose anything like a threat to her? Great as the imagery of her standing there, shield high deflecting bullets is, couldn't she just sorta, stand there?
Golden, Silver, and Bronze age WW was comparable to Superman the Post crisis has reduced that a bit. I don't know about her new 52 powers
I am left wondering where Themescira is going to be located. It's close enough to Europe for Trevor to wreck on, and for them to return to. It's close enough that the Prussians(?) are seen storming the beach. So, are we looking at a hidden isle in the Med?

Given the Greek ties I wouldn't be surprised. I'm sure I've seen/read that Themescira is hidden from the modern world by some means, possibly magic. Given they're going with the 'brought to life by Zeus' (assuming that's true) then gods and magic are now wholly in the setting. Which would also lend credibility to the idea that she was able to hurt Doomsday because Kryptonians are often depicted as not being especially durable against magic.

Or more simply, they could just say that it's more like Clarketech. The line in BvS about metahumans being the basis for some gods would telegraph this idea somewhat.

Somewhere in the vicinity of the Black Sea would be my guess.

It could be they still hurt to some degree or that as a trained warrior she's just doing the sensible thing and minimising the risk to herself (even Clark dodged at A-10 cannon fire in MoS).

That would make a whole lot of sense. They'd be right in the middle of Ottoman Territory and smack square in the center of WWI's battlefields.

Another thing to consider is that this film likely depicts the first time she's ever encountered such weapons. She may not know the limits of her own endurance, or her enemy's capabilities, so why take the chance of testing the limits of durability?

That's entirely fair. Though it's worth noting again in BvS she doesn't have any fear of Doomsday's 'energy nova' and while she raises her shield, her lower torso and legs are left entirely exposed and suffer no damage (incidentally her shield seems to heat up and glow a bit while her leg armour remains unchanged).
That said, these are WW1 rifles. Bullets and their effects on human bodies aren't exactly new or advanced tech at this point.
Well, its not a case of it being new tech., but of WW being new to the modern world. For all we know that's the first time she's ever been shot at.

According to this interview, WW is around five thousand years old and was tasked with protecting the world until she retired. BvS marks her return, which makes me think it's the events of this film that make her retire.
I suspect anyone who is five thousand years old has a pretty decent idea of their capabilities. Also she looks fantastic for her age
She pretty much says in Batman v Superman that she quit after WWI, but I wasn't clear about her actions before then. I figured she may have just been isolated with the Amazons.

General superheroing on and off in the outside world as basically an goddess during ancient history, then becoming isolated again after the Romans showed up, poking her head out every now and then but for the most part Themsycira was closed off until she eventually ventures out in the modern age. This movie, I suspect, is one of the parts where she 'pokes her head out'.
I got to say though, there's pretty much no way Steve Trevor survives to the modern era if he's an active adult in the WWI period (time-travel shenanigans or reincarnation aside, neither of which would be new to the DCU), so I wouldn't be surprised if he snuffs it at the end of the movie and that's what runs her back to her island.
Or maybe his grandson looks remarkably like him and is also called Steve. And is also a pilot

Heh, yes, I think I noticed at least one side-on view where she'd ducked behind her shield and all the bullets were hitting just the shield and shinguards. Well, I suppose that's an improvement on everyone shooting at her taking precise aim at her bracelets...
