No, actually "Walking on Sunshine" was Katrina and the Waves.
Oh, yeah. That was a good song.

That's sad people see her as a one hit wonder. The album Left of the Middle is a hell of a lot better than many I've heard. That reminds me. Get album from den, put in computer. Okay. Back on topic. Especially considering her next song 'Wishing I was there' hit #5 when it was released, and the third, 'Smoke' got about #10. She released another album last year, and the song she released was on VH1, almost hitting 1, if it did, it was only for a week. Either way, if you haven't heard the rest of the album Torn is on, your missing some great songs.

Yeah, I tend to think of one-hit wonders as bands/artists that have one hit song from one album and are never heard from again. Some of the music mentioned here might technically be one 'hit' acts but folks like Todd Rundgren have a ton of albums full of great songs.

And the Nena album is good, I have it. It's cool, half of it is in English, half of it is in German, and the songs are all different, except for the two versions of 99 Red Baloons (Eng and Ger). Fun 80's goodness :)

I would complain, but threads like this, are a huge plus for people like me. Those who are always hunting lost songs and such. There's so many here, that I might have known part of a song title, or maybe an artists name and thats it.

 I still sing songs to clerks at the record store
"do you know the one that goes na-na na-na" It's cool though, they're usually music junkies too, they don't mind. One even called some of her friends for me to find a particular song :)

And yeah, I love the music threads here too. They almost always spark my interest, either revealing some new (to me) music, or a reminder some favorite songs long gone.
