I didn't bother to count but I fail to see how this matters. Thrawn said '94' and 'a thousand' and nothing in the episode contradicts this.

Could have breeched the fuel silo. To store enough fuel for the things to operate (even without the old values we had on systems consumption) within the limited space they have the stuff needs to be incredibly dense. Damage whatever is keeping it underpresure it will expand back to whatever normal density is, and will be pretty energetic as it does so.

Was nice to have a Zeb episode. And liked them dealing with "he isn't just muscle, he is quite qualified in his own right"

Sucks that a 4 week hiatus is coming

Man, yeah little emphasis is given on Zeb being a freaking commando secret service officer dude of his home world.

I presume that the single droid's explosion - while powerful - was probably helped by the explosions of who knows how many hundreds of other droids around it, plus whatever volatiles were nearby in that segment of the Star Destroyer.

The problem with Thrawn's point is that the rebel base can move around. If Sato could afford it, he would already have several other places already scouted.

Of course, if he can still go in on a surprise attack at the right moment, that can devastate this cell. However a ship of that size is questionably a loss. Then again, Thrawn has always been cool-blooded commander and that is his strength.

thing is and I'm pretty sure Thrawn has figured this out as well is that rebel base cannot relocate easily, sure it can but it'll take time to pack up the rebel base and then head out and I'm thinking Thrawn is planning on striking before that is possible.

It's not the only animated show like that these days. Like many things in life, its just cheaper if they make the show with as few people as possible almost no matter how long it takes, which means slower then 1 episode per week, and not to make all the episodes ahead of time. On the plus side that also means the creators actually get a chance to listen to feedback while a season is actually being produced. Which doesn't mean they will, but it's at least possible! The voice actors can do the lines for ~five episodes in a day potentially, but you can just stockpile that dialogue ahead of time. Which is exactly what they do; if they aren't sure on the script they just record extra lines and worry about what to animate later.

With live action naturally you have a way bigger incentive to film everything at once, dragging it out saves nothing since you have a large film crew to deal with, though location shoots can screw with that. But even then post production can run into the same incentive to drag things out.

The potential of the Rebels leaving their base is diminished by the fact that if it weren't for Fulcrum... they would not have known the droid was Imperial and it would've either radioed for reinforcements, went amok and kill everyone and explode, or a combination of both?

Seriously it would've been better for the droid to just not-bother ROLLING OUT like some Decepticron, if it just kept its cool and later on snuck out to radio for reinforcements...

I was under the impression because it was damaged it went into extreme survival mode.

Maybe each sphere represents a star system with multiple worlds. Watching that scene again, Thrawn actually said he narrowed it down from a thousand systems to 94 planets.

And forging data means time, especially since it was stated that tampering with memory core of the droid could trigger the self destruct and parts of it were shielded against outside tampering Zeb asked about wiping the infiltrator droid's memory but that was a clear "no" so I suspect altering said memory would be a "no" as well, at least within the timeframe they had avaible. One the key story points was that our heroes were under serious time constraits and they had no time to figure out how to bypass the self-destruct or how make it so that droid could blow up safely and they could send an "all clear" message pretending to be the droid.

This was a great episode, I honestly have zero complaints. It probably helps a lot that this is essentially part 1 of an arc, as The Clone Wars often had, so we actually had time for things to build, and the necessary quiet moments to keep it feeling natural. A lot of times, having to do their story in 22 minutes, it does make things feel a little rushed, so the fact that this particular story is being told in multiple parts really helps it out.

And wow, did Tiya Sircar hit it out of the park this episode. I had major feels, starting with her conversation with Ezra and then finally when she lets loose with Kanan, I was like damn she is putting everything she has into it. And it worked, on every level. Also Kevin Kiner, who I routinely praise because the man deserves it, but this was an excellent showing. I loved the music that played for Sabine here, and I hope to hear more of it. Also the strategic use of Ezra's theme when he mentions having no family to go back to. I don't know what the Audio Cue on StarWars.com will be, but this whole episode was filled with amazing music and I want all of it.

You know, people talk about the dark, violent moments in TCW about it "not being a kid's show" but this episode, right here, is a Rebels example of that and a very different way of doing it. Because the acting, animation, music, writing and everything else came together to coalesce into the real drama and emotions you expect out of more 'adult' shows and movies.

An easy 10/10 from me.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Very good character driven episode.

Completely irrelevant to this episode, but in this Recon episode Hidalgo confirmed that Thrawns flagship is the Chimaera which I thought was nice.

I loved Kanan's bit about the history lesson, that the Jedi defeated Mandalore, after Sabine believes her new toys will even the playing field.
