The scariest folk song lyrics are "My Boy Grew up to be just like me" from cats in the cradle by Harry Chapin
More power to him.Hawkeye: Last of the Mohicans (damn your military laws, I want to protect my friends and their families)
You might want to add The Merry Marxist, also known as Robin Hood, to your list.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Don't be fooled, the true Robin Hood of myth is a lot nastier than the nice 18th century version.

The reason he's not on the list as I know a bit more about the older Scottish Chronicles version of that particular outlaw then most people. Of course I loved the character before I learned the truth. Grr, damn Scottish historians keeping accurate records of the crimes & misdeeds of one of the 9th centurys nastier bandits, before Elisibethians and later Victorians decided to white wash him.

Robin Hood was originally just a loveable thief - chekc out some of the medieval poetry.
He's been changed according to the literary preferences of the time. If you want to use a particular interpretation, use Errol Flynn.

I'm not sure that using such drek as Oliver Twist and Grapes of Wrath is a good example, IMHOThe Yosemite Bear wrote:Ok, the morality of heroes that defy society and commit crimes often for "the greater good" what is your take on the morality's expoused by.
